I feel like this also was reddits main issue. I started occasionally using reddit way back, probably around when I was also heavy on slashdot. I hated reddits website. Honestly even old is crap. There used to be a simplified app like version of the website you could access, forget what it was though. That was at least user friendly and functional. When I found sync is when I actually got heavy into reddit because something had solved all of reddits glaring issues.

While I agree, I personally think we should get rid of the existing support like food stamps, unemployment and replace with UBI.

Reasoning being with the current system it’s too easy to work and be worse off. Example being if you make $20 over the income bracket you might lose $100 in food stamps. With UBI there’s less administrative costs because everyone is eligible, less fraud and most important any effort you make to work will always improve your financial situation.

I mean for that, my phone works fine. I set the bixby button to turn on\off the flashlight. Single button on off always on me. Of course being programmable, you could program a simple on off as well on the hex.

I used the hexbright camping and stargazing. The hold setting is so dim its useless unless you’re in pitch black and just need to see the star chart. And you don’t want bright as it takes at least 30 minutes to recover your night vision after a bright flash so that’s what my use case was.

I don’t really use reddit anymore but I have an android app called stealth that lets you browse. Can’t login, but for web links and such its much better than old.

I have 2 Hexbright flashlights. They’re programmable so you can make it work however you want. Really wish the company went beyond the kickstarter because I’d love some different models with the same customization.

I have mine programmed where from off hold=as low as possible. Then standardish 3 brightness, starts at low first click. Hold button while on for turbo. But my favorite part is if you don’t click the button for 5 seconds, the next click is off instead of the next brightness. Saves your night vision not having to cycle through high to turn off.

You can check local locksmiths. Some might be willing to sell cheap junk locks that are still good for picking. Or buy a core that can be repinned.

Same. But mark read has been broken for a while and at $20+ for no ads or ultra dev really needs to be on top of these updates to justify the price. Depends on whether they start making shows with ad breaks in mind. Because the cut where the ad was, while not nearly as annoying as an actual ad, still diminishes the quality of the show imo.

There is a pretty big gap between ad supported and standard. Wonder if ads actually makes up for the difference or if it’s just under priced to push people towards it. But seeing as ads are like cancer to me I don’t even consider that tier as existing. So 15.49 1080p 2 screen, or 22.49 I think for 4k 4 screens. I sit far enough away that I don’t notice the benefits of 4k and don’t need the extra screens so I just judge the value from the content and price. Honestly I’d rather just have everything on plex instead of jumping between services, but some stuff that family watches is hard to find. Sonarr has probably 100+ episodes of reality TV crap that won’t download as no seeders.

Edit: I see now the article is about Australia. And the price is higher, but converting to USD the new price is still less than US $15.49 which I feel is fair. It costs me about $13.50/month in electricity for plex.

How is the standard plan a bad value? It’s $15.49 for 1080p no ads. I dropped 4k a while ago because they went stupid on the price, and I will never use ad supported. If they made the ad tier free, I’d still pay the $15.49/month. Standard plan hasn’t been hit with the last several price increases, which is why I still think it’s a good value, and why I’m still subscribed.

I’m sure with the way things are going Netflix will end up pushing me away eventually, but they haven’t yet. Dropping standard would cause me to cancel. I also have the Disney/Hulu bundle for $20 and plex for anything else. I could easily get anything on Netflix on plex.

If you need to ask, you probably don’t know enough to keep yourself anonymous. But it starts with tails, tor and not doing anything stupid like reusing user names that you use on the clear web or signing into something like Facebook. If a nation state has reason to find out who you are, they most likely will. All it takes is one little mistake that you most likely didn’t even know was a mistake.

Why not just switch your site redirects? Instead of x.com opening twitter.com make them go to x, and eventually stop the redirects and put a landing page on Twitter with a link to x.com. How do you expect people to stop calling it Twitter when that’s literally the site name even if you type in x.com

Is that all they’re doing now? I haven’t used a ps for media since I think the ps3, which had that system that it would shut off the sound.

I also got this on my stand alone roku. And it’s forced arbitration. Only way to opt out is by sending a written letter saying you don’t agree. If I can be forced into an agreement with a click of the remote, opting out should be just as easy.

I deleted my Facebook account the first time they said you’d have to link your oculus account to Facebook and were banning new accounts people created to do so. I just converted my oculus to meta and still don’t have a Facebook or Instagram account.

Oh I know. Having issues with my plex server, so I’m currently subscribed to Disney/Hulu, Netflix, paramount & max. Paramount is straight trash, so many issues. Max won’t save my play history half of the time, one show it won’t even put in the continue watching section so I have to search for it every time. Shouldn’t have to deal with all this crap when you’re paying for it.
