    I image the Right feels pretty much the same but about Zuckerberg spreading far Left ideas too.

    In reality, social media encourages, amplifies and reinforces facile and misinformed ideas, which has led us to this polarized hellhole of people with incredibly bad ideas screaming on both sides while the centre recoils in horror.

      Radicalization has existed before social media. It’s a symptom of a failing system (liberal capitalism in this case). Yes, people might be polarized due to misinformation in some cases, but they are alo polarized due to seeing the contradictions in existing society, like the failure of the West to act on the Gaza genocide and many more issues.

      Of course, while billionaire owned corporations control these mediums, they will influence the discourse in a way that benefits them, and they will never be a truly open forum for discussion.

      Oh wow this centrist is so enlightened, they’ve figured out that feeding everyone and not killing the planet are the exact same evils as genocide and fascism.
