Insurance salesmen could be manipulate cheats, desperate people just trying to make a living, or honest people that help others navigate the shady world of insurance.
I don’t support the industry, or most sales tactics, but we’re all cogs in one machine or another, and we’re all people.
If by socialist you mean actual socialists who want public ownership of industry by the people for the people and not any kind of autocracy:
They likely won’t exist, instead case managers and property appraisers will work solely for the public to repair damages regardless of any coverage status. They could still exist as a supplementary private insurance but would be competing with the state which would have next to no profit margin, so they would need to have better services and outcomes in order to justify their existence.
If you meant health insurance; pretty much the same: in Germany healthcare costs are incredibly low via the public option and there are also private competitors.
EDIT: Also, in the age of automated form filing, processing, and rejections the modern capitalism probably treats this particular industry worker worse and with less jobs.
There are no socialists anymore.
