    This would be far less of a problem if the US had stronger protections for personal data. If, similar to EU’s GDPR, a resident had a right to request a copy of their data, and ask for its deletion from these privately owned databases. Then I could advocate for something less than a total ban on this type of data aggregation and government exploitation of this data.

    AI will of course be optimizing this for the ICE and allowing it to be racist with impunity.

    Even for anyone who has not a single thing to hide, who wants an officer trailing behind their back, watching their every move looking for a “reasonable suspicion” which they could come up with one without you doing anything wrong.
