This is like someone in the 1930s asking what should happen when history catches up with the H.G. Wells-scripted film Things to Come. The answer is: Nothing, and part of that reason is that we don’t shoot people into space with a big cannon.

Our first order of business, introducing the stylish new trend of elvish-ear lengthening surgery, and the development of food replicators.

We certainly won’t with THAT attitude.
I’m afraid no amount of attitude will make a lot of Star Trek technology make sense.
Also, no amount of attitude will make Vulcans exist.
