Here is my first published print. It’s 3D printable wire duct. Working in industrial environments I’ve always leaned toward using wire duct for wire management. I couldn’t find any I liked so I set out to make my own.

I’ve published it on Printables. You can find more details there about the print. I’d appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Would be so cool to have one of those conveyor belt infinite printers…

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these o:

So it’s like a hallway for wires and the bars can pass them through should you not want to go the whole length?

Commonly found in electrical control cabinets to clean up the point to point wiring (between plc, relays, buttons, etc) usually found with the cap missing and wires strewen around.

The cap pops off and the breaks in the duct allow wiring on either side. Done right it makes a panel look clean and generally makes diagnosing easier.

You neglected to mention that half of the wire tags are also missing, random extra cables that don’t seem to go anywhere, and the book of prints inside the door have never been updated!

100/100 – Love it. I like wire duct as well, and I’ve always dreamed of 3d printing some (but only recently had a dependable enough printer for it to be an option)

Yes. You should be able to just stretch out the covers if your printer can accommodate longer prints.

If you require longer a longer backbone and I make those up for you. Otherwise if you need smaller they are easily trimmable after printing.
