Great journalism from the New York Times
Summary
President Trump’s recent trip to Gulf countries was notable for the ways that American foreign policy overlapped with his own family’s business interests.
But another powerful family also cut lucrative deals with Arab rulers. Mr. Musk joined Saudi and U.S. officials for lunch. He announced SpaceX had secured approval to provide its Starlink satellite internet services to companies in Saudi Arabia. Last Tuesday, his brain chips company Neuralink announced a deal to conduct a medical trial in the UAE.
His brother Kimbal Musk signed agreements with Qatar and Abu Dhabi to provide a series of drone light shows through his company Nova Sky Stories.
Kimbal said on social media that the Abu Dhabi events would feature 10,000 drones. Errol Musk - Musk’s father - says he travels often to the Emirates. “We were guests of the sheikh of Abu Dhabi” he wrote.
Errol told Arabian Gulf Business Insight that he is working with the Al Khaili Group of Abu Dhabi to build a Musk tower in Dubai. He said it will house the Musk Institute, a planned technology hub to study “gravity and space-time travel.”
At least his dad hates him and doesn’t get why anyone likes him. That said he l his dad is into girls way way younger then he is and in at least one case he had a kid with a girl he actually raised as a child herself.
I hear both had very good friends with their servants too. Encouraging!
The what now
A money laundering scheme, probably.
The gravity and space time travel of coin.
