Presumably because every tech company hires people who have government cyber experience from any country. Why would one specific company ban anyone who was employed by one specific country?

most ex-IOF, ex-CIA, etc. continue working in the military industrial complex and continue profiting from their reputations as war criminals to land prestigious jobs with obnoxious government contracts

Disclaimer: I haven’t read the article yet — I’m just trying to get people to think. I get what you’re saying, but there’s another side to this: they are ex-IDF. Why did they leave? Not good enough pay, something else maybe. However, it’s a strong possibility that some of them left due to disappointments with the IDF, for ideological reasons. We shouldn’t shun people for where they worked, but rather check their integrity and competence. Who knows? They may be our greatest allies.

Apple doesn’t give a shit about their image, and hasn’t for years.

If you’ve bought into the Apple ecosystem, you either like the products or you’re subject to their hideous vendor lock-in, so you’re probably going to buy more Apple products either way.

If you aren’t by this point, you probably never will be, so why would they waste their money appealing to you?

Presumably because they have the qualifications they are looking for. Being good at hacking is very useful when it comes to cyber security.
