Every major politician in the USA has major financial backers with their own agendas that they purchase through superPAC contributions and by funding re-election campaigns. It’s been the ruling oligarchy my whole life and I’m middle aged. Pretending it’s different or worse now is disingenuous.

Building a business and getting involved in politics is financial suicide 99% of the time. It’s one thing to work behind the scenes but to be the poster boy is just reckless. It is a tragic situation because Tesla was the only EV company in competition with the Chinese and now the Chinese will dominate global EV sales.

Alot has happened in the last 6 years that has financially changed the world. Corona virus and the breakdown of global supply chains. Biden froze Russia’s investments in US treasuries resulting in the weaponization of the global reserve currency at the start of the Ukrainian war. Further trust was eroded by Trump and his abandonment of previously agreed upon trade deals and imposing tariffs of varying degrees that are adjusted at will, per emotion. Whatever your political leanings you best get ready for some difficult times as the world loses faith and trust in American global leadership.

It’s a great idea but unfortunately we don’t live in that world anymore. I do hope one day we can get back to that world.

America had an election and made its choice. Democrats want to transform America into Europe 2.0 but most Americans do not want that. We have a binary political system so that only leaves one other choice. It is what it is.

What happens if Tesla falls? America’s charging station infrastructure is owned by Tesla. Looks like the whole EV push has been a complete failure. What about the environment and global warming, seems like people really don’t care about any of that in comparison to settling political grievances. It is what it is.

It’s no longer about convincing people to stop buying a Tesla, it is now about destruction.Everyone knew this is where it would lead.
