A benevolent idiot is better than a malicious ignorant.
What I feel isn’t existential dread of my pending non-existance. What I feel is FOMO.
I prefer my AI tools to not intellectually disingenuously self censor. I feel like I’m in the minority but language models that are explicitly forced to avoid using certain language don’t seem like effective language tools.
Non offensive words can be used offensively and offensive words can be used inoffensively, but they won’t let the language models learn the difference.
Edit: Not to mention the outright blocking of legitimate offensive language. When a language model isn’t allowed to say ‘fuck nazis’ well that’s not a language model that I agree with nor is it one representative of legitimate human language.
All his shit got deleted and he still has more than you do in your head.
Somebody never played on a Wii.
The same place they forced him to buy NFT’s obviously.
Google is a corporation, not a person.
Not in America.
And in the same turn, consumers can’t buy a product that doesn’t exist. Until more environmentally friendly products are on the market made by the producers, consumers don’t have a real choice, abstention is not a viable choice.
I still need food, I require the ability to move those groceries from the shop to my car to my house, but if no one produces an environmentally friendly way to do so then I’m at the mercy of the plastic bags, bottles, containers, and wrapping I’ve been provided.
Just like we couldn’t use unleaded gasoline until they started making unleaded gasoline.
Just like we can’t start using renuable energy until they start making renuable energy.
Just like we can’t recycle our waste because we don’t have the infrastructure to recycle our waste.
Just like we can’t take mass transport that hasn’t been built, or use green energy infrastructure that doesn’t exist, or buy products without plastic that don’t exist.
Flat earth started as a meme, the village idiots saw a messiah, flat earth was their jesus in the toast moment and they took the bait.
To be fair, it’s like playing billiards with a rope for a cue, in 3 dimensions, in zero gravity, with rocks for balls, and a coke can for the white, and the balls are moving.
I’m surprised they even hit it, give them a few years before you start expecting them to do trickshots.
I like the idea that people at Space X and Tesla dropped Twitter in the corpo baby’s lap so that he’d be distracted from the nice toys.
Pretty sure ‘cheaper’ is a misnomer when profit exists.
Look at you thinking they put components you haven’t paid for in your vehicle. Sweet summer child. You do know what profit is right? That’s the money after everything is paid for, they don’t sell them without making a profit.
If the features are in the car I have, I paid for them.
What we’re seeing is large corporations who have contractual obligations surrounding their office spaces, land leases and the buildings they own worried that if everyone goes remote the market for such property dissappears and so does their investment so they are forcing people back into the office to artificially bolster the market for office space while they work to get their money out of the industry and find any bag holders they can to offset future losses, all at the expense of the wellbeing of the working class.
Pfft. Not even going to be the hottest this year.
