I’ll give you my dilemma: would you rather have constant noise that is not in your control? or would you rather have constant noise in the form of music that you enjoy? thats my case in school and the case of many others in cities, where its a choice between the sound of crowds (with occasional shocking loud noises) or music you can control. one is far less stressful at the end of the day

the sensors aren’t placed on desks, you can see that the displays are placed outside of bathrooms because that’s where kids generally vape. my high school has sensors inside the bathrooms on the ceiling and they don’t work. you’re thinking of a scenario that’s incredibly difficult and costly to implement, I assure you no district would be willing to hook this bullshit up to EVERY DESK. the term “Simon’s desk” here is likely just a name for one of the sensors they used to test this concept, with the sensor being located at the desk of a developer named simon

Used to use boost and then switched to Joey back on Reddit. I tried Connect at first on Lemmy, but it just kept crashing any time I scrolled far down. Switched to Liftoff for a while but had some issues with the way it manages accounts and I kept seeing the same posts over and over. Now I’m on Jerboa and I’ve had no issues with accounts, memory, or it not being customizable enough.
