Really? Every microwave I’ve had you hit a number and it’s cooks your food for that many minutes. No power option, but you can set it prior to heating your food.

Also being able to do it indoors without practically any negative side effect doesn’t help lol

Precisely why no one should have them; the average person is incredibly stupid. Similar to the cop in the story you linked, a fucking dumb ass piece of shit idiot.
Wrong. People who allow these desires to fester, or as you suggest, actively seek out fulfillment for them, is not good for anyone. It’s not good for the pedophiles, because it will increase the need for fulfilling their illegal desires, and it won’t help kids, obviously because it emboldens pedophiles.
Have you ever experienced something you like, and said to yourself: “definitely not doing more next time.”
Absolutely. I guess I just consider those things more in the realm of “hobby” rather than a job that might come to the union. No reason someone shouldn’t be able to make wood-whatever and sell it in their retirement. That was actually one of the things my dad argued, it’s sad to see someone work their whole lives to become a tradesman, only to have that same ability kneecapped because you’ve retired. And I agree. That’s why I also made point 3, because usually when things don’t make sense there’s a reason. Whether it’s a lack of information or just misinformation. We both had a lot of questions neither of us could answer, ya know?
Had to explain this to my dad when he told me about the carpenters unions not allowing his brother to work after he retired.
1: Unions are the democratization of workplaces; for better or for worse.
2: Should you really be working when you’re claiming retirement checks from your union?
3: People are often falsely confident on their views about things. People love to complain about the government while hardly understanding anything about it. The same happens everywhere, including unions. Just because some dude is miffed doesn’t mean they have any right to be. They can be misinformed.
What about Clause 14, though?
To make rules for Government and Regulation of the LAND and naval forces
Or is that just relating to, what I’m understanding as, when the government calls for the militia to “stand”? As in Clause 16.
Man, Stephen Fry has had such a positive influence in my life lmao I first saw him in V for Vendetta, then I found his debates about religion. Really formed me at a young age. Really appreciate that guy.
Still makes me laugh that people have that URL memorized through trauma lmao
Lmao it’s the first suggestion in Google if you type DQW
“I’d rather others be inconvenienced because I’m comfortable with how it is”
I mean, that’s fair. I would just hate to see people seriously hurt themselves because they don’t have access to something. But that brings up a whole new conversation, and it’s just sad that we even have to consider this.
Another aspect that came to mind is: people hurting themselves and ‘putting stress’ on the hospitals. Obviously that’s pretty unrealistic, might be a point someone would argue though.
I also don’t have faith that people would do it properly. Chemicals are weird and not following instructions or not knowing what you’re doing can lead to disaster.
Welcome to the world where money has more power than laws and governments. It’ll all work out fine, I’m sure.
You don’t see anything ethically wrong with “owning” a piece of a human that could be someone’s ancestor or relative? People really are disgusting pieces of shit.
So by virtue of social media existing, it can’t be flawed? It can’t be broken? It can’t be harmful? It can’t be pushing racist and fascist ideology?
There’s a mountain of evidence showing the harms social media does, and you’re just acting like all that research doesn’t exist.
Plenty of good reasons to ban things, even if they’re useful. Asbestos. In fact, banning asbestos didn’t harm anyone, as your comment would imply. It actually helped people.
You: “Hitler can’t take back office, but we do need to continue the concentration camps. People who don’t want concentration camps are directly supporting Hitler.”
