I did reinstall my os (and hop over to arch while I was at it) because I had a bug with Forza that made it crash on login.
It didn’t help (I think it was a bug with the save file) but at least I can say I installed arch the hard way

It must be a nice life that wishing for something to be true makes it so, regardless of reality
I would also recommend it, and I even tried it when i started, but i just couldn’t get it to work. Probably permission issues
For a while I split tunneled tailscale through an openvpn .conf file, but recently switched to using qbittorrent in docker with gluetun. Qbittorrent is realistically the only service that needs to be behind a vpn so it works out well
I’m sure any server oriented Linux distro will do fine. I use Debian.
I will note, I don’t know if you’re planning on having remote access (e.g. through tailscale or reverse proxy), but if you are, I found it quite a challenge to get proton to play nice with them
Damn that’s crazy I didn’t realize my third party map app was actually just Google maps
I haven’t used threads, I just assumed it already had ads
All these companies do is make it easier to use wireguard, if you’re so afraid of them just use wireguard yourself, you’ll get the same effect
Adding denuvo later wouldn’t do any good, if a game launches without it it’s going to get cracked instantly
They don’t, that quote is talking about the steam survey, which allows steam to read what OS the user is using. The point OP is making is that the only reason W11 is more popular than W10 is because Microsoft is forcing the update
I mean, they are trying to build a twitter alternative, aren’t they?
Yes, exactly
Pikachu eating ryujinx (which just got taken down today)
Yeah I pretty quickly figured out I needed that, without it it straight up doesn’t scan my finger
Probably the fact that I can’t unlock the bootloader
My god, I upgraded from an S9 to an S22 and seeing the fingerprint scanner on the front baffled me. With a screen protector on I unlock it on the first try maybe 25% of the time
Nah, Bitwarden is what I use. It has a free tier and a paid tier for $10/year that adds some extra features. You can read about both on their website.
You can also autofill on mobile and desktop with the mobile app and browser extension respectively (the mobile app also let’s you autofill in any app that requires a login, which is nice)
I recommend going for a password manager. Bitwarden (and probably every other modern password manager) let’s you import passwords from a file and Firefox let’s you export all your passwords as a file. All you have to do is take your FF passwords and chuck them into your password manager of choice
What’re you gonna do, stop using Google Maps?
Yes.
I love Proton and will advocate for it any chance I get, but I can also see that it might be good to have people like you who don’t put all their eggs in one basket
I set mine up with duckdns and caddy. In duckdns set the ip address to your machines local address. If memory serves, there’s a section in the vaultwarden wiki about using caddy with duckdns
