Yeah it’s more or less the same as current Reddit, just a smaller community. Bots and bad actors unfortunately exist in a way they simply didn’t 10-15 years ago.

I’d say less so. There wasn’t much by way of disinformation campaigns and bots back when Reddit first started so the posts and comments felt more genuine and organic. Even with Kbin/Lemmy being much smaller, there’s still a ton of weird shit that gets posted here or comments that feel really suspicious. It would be nice for that kind of environment to make its way back, but it seems those days are over.
It’s not a honeypot. It’s a genuine company. I am not sure if what they do is actually helping anyone but to my knowledge the treatments are pretty expensive.
Yeah I get a lot of those as well. Anxiety, ADHD, and autism stuff mostly. I keep shooting down the ads as I suffer from none of these things. No idea why it keeps pushing that crap.
Yeah I just get fed with bullshit on ADHD and Autism nonstop.
This is a thing that isn’t happening, at least not among Gen Z. What a bullshit article.
Spotify has one of the highest quality services and a monthly price that’s barely gone up in a decade. This shit just leads to them having to raise the subscription rate again if they can’t fix the issue with people clearly undermining the payment model. What the hell is it that you people want?
Paid for by the paper towel industry which was in response to the hand dryer industry putting out it’s own paid study about how paper towels just spread fecal matter around your hands. It’s all shit no matter how you spread it.

Update passwords to something actually hard to brute force and turn on two factor authentication and it should (hopefully) prevent this from happening to you.
Most still cost about that much for their base packages. Just rotate them based on what you’re currently watching. No streaming service requires more than a month to month commitment. This just ensures that content stays fresh as they know their base of subscribers will be rotating on quality like this. It’s a good thing.
This is basically an article bought and paid for by cable. Streaming is only expensive if you own everything. The benefit is you have far more options and control over the content you pay for. There is no “crash”. These services are all stable or growing still. Cable is still what is dying though the industry will try all it can to presume otherwise.
Not even close, but try again. They just look the same when you’re so far left you need to squint to see anyone to the right of you. There is a massive gap between “neoliberals” as you call them, and the modern conservative electorate. Those “neoliberals” also represent the majority of voters on the left, hence the guy who is president being one of them. Stay mad though.
Jack O’Neil’s son would still be alive today if he didn’t get a hold of his father’s gun. But then we wouldn’t have Stargate. It’s sort of a toss up to me.
Because one of them costs taxpayer money and the other one is just signing legislation? The two concepts aren’t even related other than that they are two different ways of getting to places.
When Android does the same thing but the article calls out Apple specifically. It was a thing constantly on Reddit, but why wouldn’t we expect it here too? Fanboys of Apple are happy to peddle their wares everywhere.
Because it is. Apple does this shit all time and it’s enfuriating. Especially considering Android offers exactly the same feature so there’s no “thanking” a brand when both major platforms do this. People just lap it up though.
That usually happens when people don’t want what you’re selling.
