  • My company did a similar 3rd party app on their phones for truck drivers, to cut down on driving distractions and within days they had all figured ways around the software and were back to watching videos while driving.

If people (or kids) want a way around they will find it. There have been too many examples that can be found already of them getting around similar software.

Best go with the ‘non smart’ phone to begin with the simply eliminate the issue altogether.

  • Years ago I picked up this roll up tarp I use for my windshield. Fits pretty much all cars and trucks and covers the whole thing with some elastic tie downs that loop over the rear view mirrors.

Thing has been a life savor on cold mornings and even on days that it comes snow and ice.

Just put it on when you get home and when you go out to get in it to leave of a morning there is zero scraping. You can still start the car to warm it a bit but all the work that is required is rolling it up to put it in the backseat.

Granted if it snows or sleets it can make it more difficult as you have to move some of this off the cover first.

  • I have the MYNT pen you have pictured and I’ve used it a few times to patch up bad holes or other spots on prints that I did on my 3d printer.

It does the job when it comes to filling spots and am guessing it would easily do what you are describing. I know I find it a little unwieldy (I think that’s the right word) when it comes to making it do intricate things. I’ve seen pictures of detail work people claim they’ve done with them and meh - it’s beyond me. I’m decent with an airbrush but it doesn’t handle the same way.

I guess keep in mind - the pluses is that it uses the same filament you are using so it will match color wise.

The minuses is that it can be inconsistent with the flow rate and can be uneven with how it fills and looks so be prepared to (possibly) do a little extra sanding to get it level.

  • It’s awful coincidental that he seems to hang out with the ‘rapist’ crowd. Even going as far as writing a letter for Masterson as to how nice of a guy he is to try to get him a lenient sentence.

Even Hollywood has ostracized him and his wife - news sites recently reported they were looking to leave the country and let things cool off for a while.

I’m sure everyone is right though that keep posting here, that he is a swell guy who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, multiple times. Several years worth of multiple times with wrong people. Just a coincidence.

  • NPR was just discussing this a few minutes ago.

The Democrats put the majority of their push behind abortion thinking that would be the turn out vote and it didn’t seem to be.

More people voted for Trump because of the economy based on exit polling and (surprisingly) more women voted for him this time as well.

There was also more votes coming from younger people who hadn’t been through a recession before and were just basically voting ‘opposite party’ because they were tired of their money going nowhere. The voting trend was something that had been seen in several other countries recently.

  • There is actually an app that will let you remotely view and start/stop the printer without the use of the VPN.

My wife often works from home and is tech savvy so I have no problems running prints and checking in remotely and I often hear of others doing the same; however…

I would not recommend doing it without someone handy. Just my two cents. It’s not that someone could hack in - it’s that you are dealing with temps in the hundreds of degrees Celsius. While I don’t recall of these things catching fire, the thought that it could burn my house down has more than once crossed my mind.

  • The US government now uses it to charge people indiscriminately. I see the term in my local headlines once a month, at least, where someone gets tagged with this BS charge.

As one person said I used to think ‘dear God they must have a nuke in the basement’ but anymore you find out the person just had a sawed off shotgun or possibly the parts for a homemade silencer and a prosecutor got an instant hard on.
