Yeah but I personally don’t like seated vr games. If I’m playing a game seated I would rather play on a monitor where I can see the real world.

Im not a furry but I see a lot of furries on VRChat. Most non bigots on vrchat play in friends+ worlds because there aren’t trolls if they have to know someone to get in.

Their goal is to create phones with floating screens. At the point where quest 3 is, ignoring the weight and slightly janky hand controls I can see the vision and future technology could make that real, but I don’t think its good for society. VR games also will never be mainstream since they require movement. I love VR gaming a lot, but 99% of people will try it once and never again. Its inherently niche. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on vr gear though so I don’t really mind if all VR games are niche since I like the janky indie games.

The university that I’m at is trying to get new students to use a digital student id that uses google wallet for scanning I think. They aren’t giving any new students physical student id’s unless they need it for something that doesn’t work with the digital ones.

So yeah some people do need google wallet.

I think a big problem with apple doing this is that they literally decided to make the body of the device out of steel, which is much heavier than other materials like plastic. The bigscreen beyond is the currently lightest headset, but the only things in the headset are the displays, processing and tracking are outside of the headset and no passthrough cameras. So basically with current lens and display technology its still not possible to get glasses like formfactor in VR headsets, let alone with integrated cameras, processing, movable ipd, eye tracking, etc.

They also didn’t erase the game, they have a beta in CS2 for playing legacy CS:GO, although there aren’t any more official servers you can still play on community servers.

Cpus have had integrated graphics for years… My 11 year old cpu has awful graphics that I try to turn off usually.
