  • People who have tried this and are used to European beer - is it really that bad?

As a naive kid I was kind of a “USA fan”, looking forward to try Anheuser-Busch Budweiser (Light or regular) at least once and thought this to be impossible in Germany due to Budweiser-Budvar holding the trademark here.

I was even recently tempted to buy and try it, although I have been completely and strictly dry since taking SSRIs. Then I remembered multiple sources claiming it’s piss, and decided against it.

Makes me wonder why that stuff is so popular in the USA.

  • This is just invoking a command, it’s basically the same as double-clicking a .exe in Windows, just without a mouse. There’s no need to “learn coding” to do this. Coding involves complex logic; this doesn’t.

The biggest put off to Linux is the absolute shit community it has

Have you ever given it a shot? Most Linux users I’ve encountered are very friendly. Yes, there are some boards (like Arch forums) where people get pissy at noobs; however Arch isn’t a noob-friendly distro, in contrast to Mint/openSUSE etc.

Attitude matters as well; if you start off by shitting on stuff you have limited knowledge of, you won’t get a friendly response.

  • Having a little regret is normal. However, when it comes to “paths not taken”, you CANNOT know for sure where that path takes you in detail.

Think about all the good stuff that has happened so far. If you had taken a different path, it could have been even better. They could also be a lot worse.

If everything went to plan in my life I definitely wouldn’t be on the same spot right now, for better or for worse. But you can never know for sure.

That’s how I deal with regrets about the past. As a fact, I did even try out a career path, just because “I could be regretting not taking this opportunity”, only to end up regretting about taking that path
