So Hysteria was a bit hit and miss in terms of how enjoyable it was, but it did land at a time when I was able to record from TV and use it to aid some school presentations. Every single time the teachers would ask where I got this from.
Hair??? Chicken leg??? yes
Was pretty certain Ren & Stimpy had to be mentioned here. Scrolling… scrollling… that was too much scrolling to find this
I think I may still be riding the hype of things like the JWST, and fusion energy breakthroughs. Our societies may be back sliding at the moment, but our species is still doing some amazing things.
I am going to click this, but God dammit if this is Rick Astley
Edit: okay, thanks internet friend
Dr Horrible intended to be evil but never followed through.
Who will carry on the knowledge of what the a:\ and b:\ drives were?
I don’t have any idea really, but one possible contributing element is the speed of delivery. My understanding (possibly incorrectly) is that western comics are more commonly delivered on a one book per month cycle, whereas Manga delivers a lot more content in the same time period. Part of this production time can probably be attributed to coloring time (Western comics color every panel vs Manga printed in mostly black and white).
There’s also the accessibility of Manga and anime, having relatively newer characters without the burden of decades of backstory (not accounting for One Piece). Running an anime with (mostly) similar story line helps to bring potential new readers up to speed quickly with Manga, whereas the animated adaptations of western comics often seem to pick specific story arcs of comics, or make up entirely new stories.
If I just use a projector, do i still have to worry about the maker of the tablet that connects to the projector doing the same thing?
Godzilla 1998
Varsity Blues
I rewatched Young Guns recently, and besides the fantastic nostalgia rush, I realized that I had only ever seen the edited for TV version
Fracking technology has some potential upside in the climate discussion, https://time.com/6302342/fervo-fracking-technology-geothermal-energy/
A ban on fracking might not be the best solution if you want to move the technology towards something more beneficial to the fight against climate change.
I live not far from a casino that has free chargers in their lot, in an area without a lot of public chargers. They slow charge too, so people coming to use their chargers usually spend a couple hours at them. Seemed like a pretty good investment on the part of the casino to me.
All of the orcas, but they gotta fight on land…
You can decimate an opposing army an infinite number of times and never defeat them. 🤷
They make phones. I had to look this up since I had never heard of this company.
I would find it weird to be referred to as Nothing staff, or a Nothing employee.
Shamefully when I’m alone, but with jubilation when I’m in front of my kids, I will always bop to Gangnam Style
Although there were a lot of problems with Ender’s Game, I was a little surprised that they didn’t adapt any of the sequels. I mean I wouldn’t have watched them, but it seemed like they went pretty all in on that first one to not at least try the second with a significantly reduced budget.
You could try episode 2 of Human Planet from the BBC.
