Hadriscus@jlai.luto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What should be the ONE universal controller layout that everyone would agree on?8·2 days ago“When is Lindsey coming out of the closet? We all know you’re gay, Lindsey… and that’s ok.”
why does this sound life-threatening then ?
Shit, wrong thread, sorry

When I get lumbar pain, I shiver thinking of the lush hanging gardens of Babylon. When my tailbone gets crushed by hours upon hours of sitting, I remember the might of the Temple of Diana and think myself lucky to even sit next to her -figuratively.
Hadriscus@jlai.luto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Standing desks are like gym memberships. Plenty of people (and offices) pay for them but never use them5·2 days agoWho doesn’t use them ? the only user of a standing desk that I know besides me (got it two years ago now) was a coworker, a programmer who used it on the daily. I don’t see why you wouldn’t use it, it’s so much better in practice. Perhaps you need to have experienced long hours at the desk in an intensive IT role before you jump. That’s certainly what drew me to get one
I have seen a waterbug in India once, it’s got nothing to do with a roach. It’s about 20cm wide, with pincers thick almost like my pinky finger. Absolutely stunning if you’ve never heard about them before
Hadriscus@jlai.luto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•i accidentally defiled a corpse, what do i do?251·3 days agoCrematorium ? then there’s no corpse, there must have been ashes instead. Given it’s a mountaintop, they’ve probably been scattered, if not by the relatives, at least by wind and rain. I understand your distress, but I think it’s actually positive that this person still impacts the world, in a way, after they’re gone. It impacted you, and then it impacted me. And who knows whom I’ll tell this story next. You made that dead guy live on ! cheers
I think whether it qualifies as spam or not, is irrelevant. It’s semantics. What matters is whether or not it bothers people using the site. It doesn’t bother me, and I agree with the feeling. So please go ahead as far as I’m concerned.
On a different note : so much about Trump, and so little about releasing Luigi ! yet it must be shouted too ! lest he falls into forgettance.
Release Luigi and the Trump-Epstein files !
I recognize Halo 4, but what’s the first one ? reminds me of the haitian man in Limits of Control : The universe has no border. No end either. Reality is arbitrary (from memory)

Instead of holding a dead big cat in their arms, these people could be marvelling at a living big cat, shoot it with a camera in place of a gun, and everybody would be happy.
Anyway

It’s supposed to be from Troyes, in case you happen to be in the vicinity… I’ve yet to try haggis but I’m optimistic, looks right up my alley
Let me put this in my tinder bio immediately
I didn’t know there was such a backstory
