Use Firefox + ublock origin.
Start the video, get out of the app/lock you phone, then swipe down and click on ‘play’ on the media controls.

This works on andriod, unsure about ios.

I dont know about embarassing but having any screen nearby them run a live fact check of any lies they tell.
As for embarassing, live updates on the screen of last time: farted, picked nose, didnt wash hands, imagined someone naked (including just partially), didnt understand what they were just told, a little bit if of wee dripped out, tries to hide arousal/erection etc.

Would love to see someones ‘imagined someone naked’ counter reset when they are talking to the queen, or ‘tries to hide erection’ when holding hands with ivanka.

I use this one myself, but only as a statement of a fact that i cant change, not to just dismiss thing us dint want to deal with.

For example: a co-worker complaining about something going wrong on a project and at some point i have to say ‘it is what it is’ (or something of similar effect) and say that as much as that sucks, its out of our control and we need to deal with finding a solution because bitching aint gunna make the problem un-fuck itself.
