Not hyperfixated on it but I have been thinking about how common sexualization/pornification has become, especially on women.

It raises beauty standard to unrealistic levels, and usually makes people be ashamed of their bodies.

I have also been thinking about sexual assualts . Most victims are usually young girls and women.

Male victims are ignored, as if trauma wasnt a thing that everyone no matter the gender experiences in such crimes.

It is unfortunate that female victims usually have more consequences than male victims when it comes to sexual assualts. (They risk getting pregnant.)

The fact that porn(mostly consumed by males), movies, anime, and other forms of visual media are usually optimized( hypersexualized ) for “the male gaze”.

Not mentioning the dark industry behind it that only encourages sex trafficking of innocent souls.

It makes me disgusted, am I dirty for being a male?
Why are males generally more focused on physical appearance than women?
Why is the male gaze > female gaze??

I dont know, makes me feel disgusted and ashamed of myself sometimes.

Perhaps I owe women an apology on behalf of all of the mess some men are doing.

I do realize that I am generalizing alot, and there are flaws in this thought, but I cant get it out of my head.
It’s also one of the reasons that encouraged me to escape porn and the dark industry behind it

Some people just take it way too far to the point that it starts actively harming them Yes, I agree.

Addiction to porn is harmful (just like any addiction), it causes the addict to be more lonely, and think of women as sex objects.

Masturbation addiction is a huge time waster(again just like any addiction).

I unfortunately watched porn too, and I regret every second I wasted watching porn.
Supported sex trafficking without even knowing, and ruined my life with it.

Not proud of what I did, I am disgusted.

Ah, it makes sense, ddg browser uses builtin webview, of course it is lighter.

You can keep using DDG app protection, but you can reduce the battery usage of tracker control by going into settings and disabling “find new trackers”

This option finds and shows you the trackers each app has, disabling it will stop finding the trackers but will continue to block them.

I’m curious to see how long I can keep it out of landfill. I’m trying for 2028, as a personal challenge. That will be almost 10 years out of a $200 phone

But have you tried TrackerControl ? It can restrict internet from apps, and block trackers.

I heavily recommend it, since you can also monitor and block system apps .

DDG App Tracking Protection isnt as effective, but it is extremely easy to use and breakage is minimal.

As for the DDG browser, I only use it when the website I am visiting doesnt work on firefox.

These are my predictions, it doesn’t look hopeful, unfortunately:

This week has been feeling calm, I have been feeling suspiciously good.
I am not doing well with studies, so this feeling is very confusing.

For notetaking, I use butterfly, very recommended.
it has infinite canvas, various pen options to fine tune how the pen works, and settings to change what each input does. (like touch is for selection, stylus is for pen, stylus button is for erasing)

Give it a try, I am sure you will like (if you hand draw your notes), especially after the 2.4 update, the dev fixed alot of bugs.

For pdf annotations, I use samsung notes (butterfly isnt as good for that in my opinion)

I dont think this will only apply to facebook. they also own whatsapp, instagram, and messenger.

how can we make our users trust us?
How about we tell them that we can view the footage of any ring camera for security purposes? They will love us! They will think we are the ones whom keep this earth safe! We will be their saviors !
