I can’t help but wonder if OP is the CEO of Kaiser Permanente or something… 🤔
I’m just a weird, furry, pan guy (cis he/him). I also have a big, blue username.
Currently on Earth for 8 years ensuring steps to unite humanity and usher us into the galactic civilization just so I can see my boyfriend again.

It’s always been there; they just stopped even attempting to hide it (even though they never had it very well to begin with).
Every single hit sound/cry of pain in every video game ever. You take out the context and just string a bunch of them together and it sounds hella NSFW.
The way federation works, I would not ever rely on deleting things to actually work 100%.
It takes time to send the request out to everywhere that might have duplicated it.
The request may never be received.
Instances can ignore deletion requests even if they do get them.
Archival bots and even users can save it if they saw it and do not get any deletion requests.
Best practice anywhere on the internet is to simply not post anything you don’t expect to stay online forever.
I only really subscribe to two channels that focus on 20-30 minute videos and post on a pretty regular basis:

I’ve seen a crow fly down from a tree and land on the corner of a sidewalk, look down the street in both directions, and then cross the street.
It was simultaneously the smartest and dumbest thing I’ve seen a wild animal do. Smart in that it actually looked both ways and crossed when the traffic was clear. Dumb in that the stupid bird could have just flown over and not had to worry about shit.
Because they don’t drive around looking for customers the way an ice cream truck does. They need to actually park so they can hook up to gas/electric lines and actually cook.
I don’t know anyone besides myself that even uses social media IRL.
Use my power to revolt against the billionaires. Just keep me alive while keeping any opposition 50m away (assuming I have no direct control over who is and isn’t revived) and you’ll be fine.
Although my experience in video games where this is a game mode tells me I wouldn’t be kept alive.
The reviews are also a massive point, and would be inherently untrustworthy in a federated version.
The reviews on Amazon are so often very obviously bots, that they aren’t really trustworthy at all. What the hell is inherently untrustworthy about federation? 🤨
So… Postmates/Instacart but using activitypub for… Some reason?
“How about instead of words, we fill books with numbers?”
I don’t think it’s that much of a problem considering most of them were made pre-emptively back during the first Reddit migration and simply just never actually got any activity. At least for those on Lemmy.World, the admins are cool enough that if you DM them about taking over such a community, they will likely transfer control over to you. I got !eldenring@lemmy.world this way after noticing it existed but hadn’t been touched since the Reddit API drama and the user who created it had fucked off too.
I know where I live this is true, too, because just a couple years ago some Proud Boy Nazi bastards were holding a “protest” in our city, and like 3 times more people showed up to yell at the shit heads and counter-protest their “protest.” With how often I see MAGA hats, stickers or trump flags out here, it was a pleasant surprise seeing how many people were against these shit stains.
Heck, at some point I was seeing torrent clients advertising features that let you block connections to people who weren’t uploading and only downloading.
Wear a sheet and go “boo!” Then when they pull the sheet off, I go full Beetlejuice.
“That’s some serious gourmet shit poop!”
I use Lemmy and Tumblr on my phone; but I use my computer for gaming quite a bit.
Reality check is only negative for the person needing one in the sense that they might be upset that their view of reality is wrong.
I want what Uncle David has. 😩
