These days? A broken bug simulator, zero content without 500 dollars worth of unbalanced DLC’s, pay to win loot boxes, in game ads, subscriptions, but super fancy looking promo videos promising something epic so you better invest 80 dollars pre-purchase so they have your money with you not being able to play the game for months after countless postponed release dates with in the end still a broken piece of shit product because why put in more effort, they already have your money anyway.

I think there’s a much higher chance of slow-poisoning with heavy metals and other chemicals by food then shooting guns. Food quality standards in the US are poor. As well as nutrition wise. Malnutrition has a big effect on people their brain. The brain needs loads of stuff to function properly, not just corn syrup and fats. And with the poor US food safety regulations and poor tap water there’s more poison then nutricions coming into your body.

But they do provide a good alternative for watching videos on multiple platforms without ads, without subscriptions or anything. And the app works if you don’t pay as well. Just because they ask money for their hard work while at the same time allowing the community to work with it sounds all good to me. It’s just not completely open source and completely free. But feel free to make a non-profit true open source counterpart if you like :)

Their excuse is monnney. Look at Twitter, people are pulling their ads because they are not happy with what’s happening there. Keep the people who give you money happy and everything is fine. No matter if you would have to sell your soul (like Disney in China, to not get banned and miss millions of subscribers). Since the ad companies usually are big corporate, you can imagine what reddit their stance is.

People don’t want to empower the workers and take away money and power from billionaires. Bernie Sanders already tried this but it’s not how America works and what Americans want.

With the current system, every new party will take away votes from the party it’s closest to. This ensures more voting percentage for the opponents. So when you create a socialist party, most of the votes you will get will be from democrats who won’t vote for the democratic party, so it’s easier for the Republicans to win. You just helped the opposite side.

Maybe when you create a party close to the Republicans you can steal their voters so the democrats have a higher chance of winning. Maybe do the same within the democrats to scatter their votes in a way so Bernie will get the majority.

It’s interesting to know the capabilities of the 911 dispatch, however I believe this is different with intelligence agencies. When I see what Snowden leaked, the location data isn’t just from cell towers but also from the phone GPS itself, as well as wifi data. Those agencies often operate in a large grey area, or just outside the law. Loads of reasons to track someone without a court order. Look at the terrorist act which came after 9/11. Loads of bypasses when it comes to “terrorists”. Holding indefinitely without charge, denying legal advice or a phone call for example. Claim someone is a terrorist and you don’t need a judge anymore.

When Trump wants agencies (like ICE for example) to have an easier job to track undocumented immigrants, he can change the law (especially with a majority in the supreme court and government). Look at Hitler. When he came to power he managed to change the law for so many things to do the most horrific acts. A law is only a law until it is changed.

You can scream “you can’t do this, we have rights!” but those rights can be taken away in an instant (look at abortion for example, or slavery when incarcerated in certain states). You have rights until you don’t.

Partly true, there are other ways to legally track a phone. For instance, when you call 911 and are unable to tell where you are, they can track your phone. There are other loopholes to track without a court order. Especially in the US the so called “citizen rights” are very limited compared to other democracies. Not that the US is a functioning democracy in the first place (slavery, gerrymandering, etc.). The US government also bends the rules a lot (like torturing people abroad instead), or straight out breaks them (remember Snowden?)

That doesn’t change the fact that it’s really hard to know which phone is from an undocumented immigrant, especially when there are millions of phones around. Even with AI it’s hard to mass spy on people to find out whether they are undocumented, as people rarely send an ondinary sms message saying “hey I’m an undocumented immigrant”. Most people use encrypted messaging apps like WhatsApp, making it even harder. And if someone uses their phone like anyone else does, they are invisible in the mass.

Yeah, for sure. Mechanics are getting scarce, everyone is pushed to get “HiGhEr EdUcAtIoN” so everyone knows how to use a keyboard but never used a hammer and a screwdriver. A lot of uddy of mine is a carpenter, the money he makes is insane because there just aren’t that many skilled people put there anymore. Our bikes have a bit different design, people sit more up right as we use it as a form of transportation instead of for sports. But the mechanics work the same. We are very multicultural, if you don’t want to adjust, that’s fine. There are enough people around who are similar to you. Only if you want to fit in you need to adjust, but that’s in any culture. Over here there’s not that much pressure to do that. Unless you live in the countryside.

Dutch and English are not similar at all. They have completely different origins. Dutch has a germanic origin and English an anglosaxon heritage.

The weather is not intense at all. It’s just humid, so 25C feels like 35C and 5C feels like -5C. But not as humid as a rainforest. Near the coast there’s some wind, but in the cities and inland not too much. Winters have become mild, summers kinda hot but compared to other regions of the world our climate is very mild. Just expect a lot of rain, but compared to the UK even that aspect is really mild too. Just prepare for us to always complain about it. And about everything else too.

Yeah, Dutch people are generally pretty blunt. When you tell something we don’t like will will tell you, politely, where a British person would say “ah that’s interesting”. For autistic people (like me) our directness is really nice. No beating around the bush.
