You may want to look into Stoicism.
Its like asking a caveman if the sky is made of water. There is just no way for them to give the right answer without taking a guess and getting lucky.
As an American I’m still astounded by the idea of “playing” tarot haha. Never even occurred to me as a possibility.
I have two accounts. One with nothing blocked, and this one were I blocked all the serious subs, news subs, depressing subs, etc. so that I could switch to it when things got overwhelming.
Ended up being so much happier with the filtered feed I almost never flip back. I’m still aware of current happenings from other sources and Lemmy is my chill out spot and I love it.
Well I wasn’t going to comment because I thought everyone here was going to say “you’re describing everyone we all feel that way” but I guess not haha
Everything you said in your original post is something I’ve said when describing myself to my SO or friends. I’ve been called condescending and I’ve worked very hard to not be that way. Sometimes when I start hanging out with someone new or get a new coworker I can tell by first impressions they aren’t going to like me. Nowadays I can usually turn it around but in the past I would just try not to bother them. People will say “why do you hate me?” and it will catch me off guard because I dont feel that way at all.
I’m also told I can be very argumentative. I get that less now as I am more aware of it, but people who know me know that I am passionate about my opinions.
I don’t have any advice besides thank people who give you feedback. Being yourself doesn’t mean not working on your social skills, they can be trained like anything else. I’ve definitely learned better habits, I have more and closer friends through years of work and introspection.
Also you are not a psychopath and there isn’t anything wrong with you. Most likely your social type isn’t the majority and you have to work a bit harder to gel with the mainstream. Its just something to be aware of. I often feel like my '“true self” is hidden from others, so I try to be as real as possible with my SO and my closest friends.
I know. Logically it makes sense but I wasn’t expecting it at all. Felt in my heart like he would outlive me. In many ways Im sure he will.

“I’m telling you Blorg we’re lost!”
Proof dolphins dont have consciousness = no humansonas
A conspiracy implies conpirators. Did you have anyone in mind?
I’m American and I know people from multiple states and I’ve never heard of anyone doing this. Always surprises me to see it assigned to us online. I’m sure it must happen in some region of the country but I don’t know where.
Well, I certainly applaud anyone wanting to do a hundred pull ups, but take it from this old gym rat, I’ve spent my entire adult life in the gym, and a program like this one can do more harm than good.
If you only train one part of your body (and that’s all a single exercise like pullups is going to do for you), you’re setting yourself up for injuries down the road. I’ve seen it a hundred times.
It’s like putting a powerful engine in a stock Toyota Tercel. What will you accomplish? You’ll blow out the drive train, the clutch, the transmission, etc., because those factory parts aren’t designed to handle the power of an engine much more powerful than the factory installed engine.
Pull-ups basically only train the back muscles and to some extent, the triceps. What you really want to do is train your entire body, all the major muscle groups (chest, back, abdomen, legs, shoulders and arms) at the same time, over the course of a workout. And don’t forget your cardiovascular work! I’m proud of you guys wanting to do this. Three cheers! Falling in love with exercise, eating right, etc., is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself. And you WILL fall in love with it if you can just force yourself to stick with it a year or two and experience the amazing progress you’ll make.
But do it right, okay?
My advice, find a good gym, with qualified trainers who will design your programs for you (especially in the beginning, until you get the hang of it yourself) and guide you in your quest for physical fitness. Thirty to 45 minutes a day, three days a week, is all you’ll ever need to do (I refuse to believe anyone is so busy that he or she cannot make time for that, especially considering how important it is).
And don’t worry about being embarrassed or not being in shape the first time you walk into the gym. You have to start somewhere and almost every one of us were there ourselves at one time. So no one will say anything to you and very, very quickly you will progress way beyond that stage anyway.
Now get out there and do it! :-)
Dude I own this NFT. Do you really think you can get away with theft when you’re showing what you stole directly to my face. My lawyers will make an easy job of this case. Prepare to say goodbye to your luscious life and start preparing for the streets. I will ruin you.
I haven’t heard another guy talk about other dudes assuming you are just like them/same politics etc, but its something I’ve experienced a lot. I often have to break the news I’m not a safe space for whatever bs they are spewing.
I never appreciate my ignorance. If I could do without it, and so avoid danger, I would.
Focus on the job and paying down your debts and let the version of yourself in 5-10 years make the decision about going back.
Cool project
