The nas just needs to support containerization and I believe at least 2 gigs of memory. Could be 4, but I l’d bet on the 2 being enough
synology for the brand is also the way to go. They got a nice proprietary raid sorta system

You configure your torrent client to only use the vpn’s network adapter. So it will only ever use that even if the vpn is disconnected

Which url did you use for 1337x? There are lots of copies there just serve malware
Most people stick to 1337x .to
But .to isn’t 100% safe either. Just worth asking
Qbittorrent isn’t the only oss torrent client with i2p support. Biglybt is another one. And qbittorrent i2p support is still in development and just now in open testing
And theres no way to do what you want to do. None of the *arr programs are able to detect what torrents have i2p seeders. The torrenting client is only able to know after joining the swarm
