One of the reasons he’ll always be one of my favorites is because he didn’t take himself seriously and called many of his own filler jokes ridiculous. You could almost imagine him amongst the audience, laughing at himself on stage.

That’s perfectly valid. With the gold thing, I was referring to the fact that people say it verbatim as I typed, (seemingly) every time. IMO it feels less genuine when someone doesn’t thank another using their own words.

That’s a really interesting perspective. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it described that way before, but it’s very easy for me to grasp. Do you have any resources I can look into for more information? Does that concept have a name I can look up?

Along with everyone else’s great points, I’m so glad I don’t have to suffer through another “thanks for the gold, kind stranger!” Or yet another painful comment chain of “puns” that are more like weak rhyming/word association, often reusing the same tired phrases. I’ve been wanting to run that one on my hardware but GPT4All just refuses to start its GUI. The only thing is a “chat.exe” that sits idle in the task manager. And this is an issue I’ve seen reported in their Github from several users, on both Win 10 and 11.

Have you find success with that frontend, or are you using one that actually works? I haven’t researched any others since this issue has me a little burnt out.

I’ve seen fonts on all kinds of filesharing sites like Mediafire etc. But archive.org feels like a good bet for some kind of longevity. As for making it findable, I’m afraid I can’t think of any advice.

Yeah, I’m in a similar spot with After Effects. I think there’s just nothing out there that comes even close for motion graphics, except maybe Blender. I simply haven’t taken the time to learn it.
