  • Last October I pirated around 100 horror movies and only 2 of them took longer than a day.

Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010) - took a couple of days, it was stuck at 10% for a while and one day i wake up and the whole thing finished in like 6 hours. I’m guessing someone turned on a pc that had been off for a long time lol.

Cabin Fever (2002) - this one took over a week and I was deadset on not paying for it so I just let it sit, pretty much the same thing with the previous torrent, it was stuck at a low percentage for a long time and then one day I hop on my computer and it had fully finished.

Other than that, a lot of Japanese films or foreign films in general will take a long time if they’re not that popular. If I don’t care too much I’ll just delete it and forget about it.

  • You might like Servant x Service, it’s not explicitly a romance anime, more of a comedy but it has some romance sprinkled in from what I remember. It focuses on a a few employees working for the local government at a DMV style office where they deal with customers all day. Light hearted and definitely relatable if you’ve ever worked a service job.

Golden Time was pretty good when I saw it 12 years ago. It’s a college setting so a lot of high school tropes are gone and the characters act more like young adults. I wouldn’t say you need to watch it, but it’s not bad.

Ore Monogatari or “My Love Story” is a favorite for me and my partner. It is a high school setting, but the characters and the pacing make it worth it. If you give it a shot just make it to episode 3 before writing it off.

You probably wouldn’t like Toradora but it’s highly regarded. High school setting again with a lot of clichés, but the clichés are used really well, and make up for the fact that you’ve probably already seen the stereotypes play out before.

  • I’m about 30 minutes south of Tampa Bay. We got hit hard by wind but the flooding was less than it was during Helene, but we also had a dam or something burst during that which caused a majority of the flooding. Our power was out for the night but we woke up to it being back on. We’re lucky because I have family not even a mile away that still doesnt have power tonight. Lots of trees knocked down and blocking roads, but I saw about a dozen different landscaping businesses going through the neighborhoods and clearing up roads and getting rid of the downed trees. I have family that live in a community with a golf course and the houses on the course got wrecked by the wind. A majority of houses in Florida, especially with pools, have these screened cages called lanai’s and a lot of those have either been ripped open or completely collapsed. It seems like most stores are gonna open back up tomorrow so people will be able to get essentials again. I think everyone is just thankful that it wasn’t as bad as it could be.
