Google maps the best alt is OSM (open street map) but personally I think it’s not quite there yet direction wise.

If your main use case is photos
idk who was dumb enough to upvote this but NTFS hasn’t been great. That’s why they’re making a replacement called reFS
Got gnome running on this chromebook with 1GB of ram. Had to set up ZRAM and it was fine. Well as fine as Fedora linux can run on a 1GB chromebook
This might sound ignorant but that’s cause I am. Why doesn’t windows just use ext4, btrfs, XFS, or something open source. They wouldn’t have to worry about developing it so it’d be a load off their chest and they could get really good features that even NTFS doesn’t have. Well maybe not with ext4 but with btrfs
I think it’s just imgflip rn cause imgur and catbox links work
ye basically, you can use flufflychat in the web browser as well
Cinny or fluffychat
I thought it only had voice chat for calls? Are there voice channels tho?
Wait since when. I’ve been waiting for VoIP. I am on Cinny tho so that might be why. The changed the way elements works on linux and it’s so cancer to use now
I think the point is to go open source. People are tired of being the product
I definitely don’t think element is the best but yes it’s not there yet. Honestly the performance has gotten a lot better but I’m still waiting for VoIP.

Switch to Linux and you won’t have to deal with it
It doesn’t have Linux support, like most things 🥹
Been checking out matrix clients and so far Cinny looks and feels closer to discord and fluffychat is pretty good to. Both work better then element in my experience
I’ll never understand the people who are hell bent on trying to get reddit back. No matter what they won’t have a say in anything that happens, own anything, or even have a voice. I’m glad people are finally moving to an open source alternative.
Yeah, it’s definitely better now then it was before believe it or not. I honestly just avoid them at all cost even on windows. I hate games that ship their own launcher even though I bought it on steam
