Every phone has a radio with remote root access controlled by a security key that is supposedly only in the hands of the manufacturer. A manufacturer that could be forced to give up that key, and forced not to tell anyone they had done so.

At least with a PC you can control the physical access to transmission, giving you a way to possibly audit before send, and physically control all input.

The reality is that any large scale communication network will be breached by the controlling government, or it will be shut down. If you want actually secure communication, you have to do it by broadcasting in the clear using an unbreakable cypher that’s been physically passed on.

TV ad volume is an intentional problem. They went all out to stop auto volume controls from being put into TV’s.

Not my kinda show, but I’d just take a sub to mgm for a month if I really liked the show. Otherwise it’s a trip to the torrent farm. Honestly I really have to want to see a show for it to be worth dealing with the bay. There’s just way too much for free, or already on a cheap stream, to keep me distracted.

I haven’t been able to watch broadcast TV in decades. The commercials were making me physically ill. Too much flash flash between them with sudden volume changes.

As for news, it’s easier and faster to read, plus I can deep dive on anything interesting. For everything else, there’s streaming or piracy.

It would take years for new mining to begin to come on line. No one takes that risk based on the short term of a single presidential term.

I agree, and also think a stupid stunt is a poor way to reach better wages. It’s just a way to placate the masses.

I do avoid most sales. They’re either a lie using a fake regular price, or a low quality product that didn’t sell, so they taking a loss to get rid of it. Either way, not worth my time. I shop for quality products that meet my needs when I need them, not when they’re on sale.

Doesn’t matter, the money is nothing to me, it’s simple principle. I also don’t use store cards or coupons.

I don’t like paying people just to do the job they’re already paid for, and I think it’s bad for society to promote it.

There is never a path for the speaker of the house to become vice president. Either the President and Vice President are dead and he’s president, or he’s still just the speaker.

As others have pointed out, before or after the electoral count is completed, makes a minor difference. It would be interesting to watch it play out.

It has informed legislators that laws they otherwise might support, have racially biased flaws. That’s pretty much the sum total of it’s influence on anything.

Red states have always been low population states. Over time every state grows, but the big states were already big. The smaller states have more room to grow, big pop states are more expensive because of the population so grow less.

It’s not some conspiracy, it’s just math. Now the Senate is another thing. There shouldn’t be two Dakota’s for one thing, and New Mexico didn’t have the population to join either.

The Pizzagate conspiracy was created to cover up any media coverage of the police reports from the early 90s when Trump was hanging with Epstein and dumping ‘used’ underage girls at a pizza parlor the next morning.
