Manny areas have a rule where it is okay within 3 years. Look up Romeo and Juliet laws in your area.

SpikesOtherDog@ani.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What will happen to society when artificial intelligence replaces all human activity in the workplace including CEOs and board members?English2·13 days agoThere will most likely always be humans owning the resources. We are big on self governance, and some humans will always insist on sitting on the top and leading. Whether this is at a small scale of a human running a shop filled with vending machines, medium scale of a human or board of people running a large business, or massive scale of a world emperor who has claimed ownership of all land and wishes to direct the organization of things with a group of specialists.
The dream is to have a world of automation, where all needs are met. The reality is that humans always want more. People will attempt to control resources to amass power. Those who have power will likely use humans for entertainment.
Outside of these things, there will be levels of rejection of automated care. I expect there will be artisans who wish to impart the human touch. People will want human media. I can foresee a cult of humanity, who insists on making everything from raw materials.
The average city dweller may have it good, but those on the fringe of society and people who live in rural areas will be the easiest targets.
SpikesOtherDog@ani.socialto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL a human chimpanzee hybrid was possibly created in 1967English3·16 days agoHah, yeah, this is very far from my specialty, fixing computers. I only felt empowered by my many trips to the zoo and Google-fu.

The Cincinnati Zoo has been maintaining that bonobos are our closest living relative for over 17 years
I’m not strongly disputing the information you provided, I’m just pointing out what I have seen. There does seem to be some professional dispute about this:

The idea that chimps and bonobos are equally similar in DNA is probably correct. I see it repeated on NPR, Duke Universe, and the NIH. My guess is that the push for differentiation is some combination of conversation efforts and both morphological and social studies.
SpikesOtherDog@ani.socialto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL a human chimpanzee hybrid was possibly created in 1967English24·17 days agoIt might create a sterile hybrid, similar to a mule. Whatever the case, explaining the result of this to another being that could understand and explaining the innate cruelty in their creation is significantly beyond me.

Errors mean wasted time from the employees correcting orders and wasted food from incorrect orders. An employee that makes hourly mistakes is a problem. No AI proponents are saying that Gen AI is going to be 100 percent correct because the goal is Gen AI is to provide a probable answer.
I’m not sure if you have read this, but here is an example of a more simple interface where Claude was asked to run a vending machine. At times it acted out an existential crisis or even attempted to call the FBI.

You can USUALLY get by with HP universal PCL drivers for most any printers, regardless of brand.
Yes, I know HP is parasitic in the ink/toner department, but PCL is pretty universal itself.
Supposedly Microsoft will be dumping printer drives here soon anyway for IPP connectors.
