I did use procmon and saw that it was creating/closing a file in the C: directory. I gave access to the other folders it was trying to access (e.g. C:\Users\Public\CameraSoftware) but it’s still asking for admin privelleges. I tried doing the Task Scheduler method as well, did not work for me unfortunaely. Thanks for your response btw!

Fighting tryanny with tryanny isn’t the answer.
I own plenty of Libreboot computers without Intel Management Engine (2006-2009 era). For the average user in today’s world, I don’t see many people using them unless definitive proof came out that the government uses the IME to spy on them. These 2006-2009 era desktops/laptops can have the entire IME firmware removed, along with a 100% free BIOS. I collect as many as I can.
I work at a laundry place that has atleast over 50+ Spanish women. It’s 90% women and 10% men, I am literally in heaven everyday here.
Thank you for the advice.
One of the main reasons I’m learning Spanish is so I can talk to the Spanish girl at work, lol. However, I’ve already tried before with another girl who only speaks Spanish, and I honestly didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t communicate much. It was my fault because I didn’t know anything except “Hola” and very basic terms.
Google Translate relationships can be pretty frustrating. I’m wondering if I could reach a good level if I dedicated a full month to studying. So far, I’m doing one hour a day. Maybe this girl at work wouldn’t mind teaching me along the way if we get into a relationship?
People made fun of me every day at work, including my manager. I literally did nothing; it was just straight-up bullying day in and day out. I had to endure that for about a year until I finally received unemployment because they shut down. When you have a 27-year-old man-child wannabe gangster bullying an 18-year-old, he somehow sees himself as tough. He’s one of those “I work harder than everyone else” and “nothing applies to me” types. It was just awful.
This was a regular coworker, not my manager, but this coworker would even bully the manager, yet they would still cater to him day in and day out. I ended up getting really upset one day, because I found out my mother had a brain tumor, and he pointed his finger and laughed at me because I was crying after not being able to take their shit anymore. Didn’t go to HR and I fucking regret it.
I dislike the way you type.
Full Metal Jacket.
The rom for the T1650 is weird, I tried updating mine and got no display, so I’m sticking with my old rom right now. Are you having the same issue? You can build the rom in lbmk or download the roms from one of the Libreboot mirrors.
I am currently adding support for the Dell Optiplex 9020 MT, it supports a i7 4790K and 32GB of DDR3 1.5v RAM (Non-ECC). The i7-4790K is a little bit faster, like 6% overall, but it’s main feature is having AVX2 support. This increases the peformance drastically for machine learning (e.g. LLMs), compiling peformance, and even virtual machines. It’s basically modern-like gaming computer. It’s actually the first Libreboot desktop computer to support AVX2.
Happy to hear I inspired you to build a Libreboot gaming machine! Stay tuned for the next port, you can expect a release by next week!
How is the OpenBSD experience? I have 2x4TB hard drives in my Libreboot server (Dell T1650 motherboard), can I easily setup RAID 1 through the OS?
Proprietary 🤮
“Ubuntu” 🤢
Running Vulkan on integrated graphics isn’t the point here. Integrated graphics in a CPU are not what people typically refer to as a GPU. So, if someone asks what GPU I have, I wouldn’t say ‘Intel HD Graphics’ or such; that’s just the integrated graphics capability of the processor, not a discrete GPU.
Referring to integrated graphics as a ‘second GPU’ is somewhat misleading. They do provide additional graphics processing, but they’re part of the CPU and not a separate, dedicated graphics card.
Actually, KVM doesn’t necessarily require a second GPU for acceleration. If you have a CPU with integrated graphics, you can use that for the host system and pass through a dedicated GPU to the VM.
You can actually get near native peformance if you set it up correctly.
Why not use KVM? It’s FOSS, and it’s pretty simple to use, at least in my opinion. All I know is that I wouldn’t want any company spying on me if I was doing something illegal.
I’m concerned because there are a lot of employees that are using this one program and I’m worried about them accidentally installing something down the line. Thanks for your response btw.
