Well profit can be defined as money_in - money_out therefore the maximum profit is the least amount of money_out with the maximum amount of money_in. So let’s assume that the minimum amount of money_out is 0. So it becomes a question of what is the maximum of money_in well currencies are generally just numbers. So we need to know the total amount of matter in the universe and the value that an organization of that total amount can represent. If the universe is infinite then infinite profit, if not then there is some number. However, at this point we delve into the zone of philosophy as we might need to take some of that matter out to have some witnesses. But still might not buy you a house in 2024.
Dude I think you need a hug. No one chooses to live or die. But I’m glad I’m alive. Billions of years of physics have made us self perpetuating machines. There’s nothing wrong with not having kids. By the same token there’s nothing wrong with having kids. I’ve been through some pain in my life, less so than others I’m sure, but if I had to endure a thousand years of torture for five more minutes of petting my dog I would.
Both pain and pleasure are all temporary; but if we consider that our lives are on average less violent and longer than those who came before us; it seems that the good parts of life are winning. No all wrongs are righted, there are new evils and old evils.
Would you deny the hunter gatherer the joys of seeing their children’s first steps though in contrast we know their life will be short, uncomfortable, and painful? If not then I do not see how one can justify denying a modern family the same. We can argue about population control, but on a macro level it is not wrong to have children.
Maybe he’s talking about some sort of peer to peer thing
So what happens if the thing I buy is information? Technically would have infinite lifespan— but if I only remembered it for a certain amount of time (if tied to a service or something, maybe could copy it before the time ran out, eg in the case of a movie or Death Star plans etc)
Cranberry sauce from the can; is it mostly sugar? Yes. Is it yummy? Hell yes. Does it have cool little ridges? Absolutely.
What is sipstea?
IRC: it’s open source, it’s free, its retro
Spicy potato water
I don’t pretend to know the complexities of your adult relationship; but from the two paragraphs I’ve read I’d say it might be time to get out of dodge if you can/want to.
Yes, microplastics are bad, but the comparison between electric and ICE cars is just not true at all. Mineral mining can be bad, but it’s mostly bad because bad is cheap, and they can get away with it in third-world countries with lax environmental protections; however, even given this, when a battery wears out, all it is is a change of configuration of the materials that make it up, which you can reclaim, and we’re getting better at reclaiming those disordered elements in used batteries. So the percentage of reused minerals in batteries will continue to climb. ICE cars combust fuels which are used up and turned into water and CO2, which is bad and requires more fuel. Also, yes, e-bikes are good.
Do yoy know how they work generally? Can you get your own little space for stuff?
I can’t imagine this is true right? I mean there are some people like the guy with the Swiss accent that do things albeit most of them are more micro electronics which you might not need a large space for but…
I like your optimism best to look on the bright side and all— curious what do you mean by fabless? Do they not require as complex facilities because they’re a larger process or something? Or for some other reason?
Why mock them? Our quotidian musings are seldom unique. When an individual arrives at a realization on their own, should we not celebrate it? Is it not our collective duty to foster and encourage critical thinking whenever the opportunity arises?

Hmm I can’t decide if this is a joke or if I’m just very privileged in the internet department
For fucks sake I hope your joking x.x
I remember back in 2013 I picked up the full expansion set at a thrift store for $4 it was the best summer of middle school by far— got the werewolf mod working and went around finding out who was essential to the plot by killing them and then reverting the saves— good times
Can it be running some unix derivative?
The guy made a cool video about it
