There was never non-manufactured hype for it. I saw people who were paid to be excited about it be excited about it, and literally nobody else cared. Nobody else even knew what the hype was event supposed to be for.

I feel you, man. Like, I appreciate what Linux is for, but the Linux content here is extremely blind to the average user’s use-case. It makes it hard to take suggestions and input seriously.
He honestly doesn’t look like the same guy to me. Idk.
I agree with your premise, but we’re in a really fucked civilization right now where there’s a class of “elite” people who can make decisions that negatively affect the literal lives of millions without worry. We’re not in a fair or stable civilization right now, which is why so many people are on team “nah I hope this guy gets away with it”.
I remember doing similar. I would intentionally kill my browser/computer without gracefully shutting down the browser. Literally everything else I would go and shut down normally, browser needed to be crashed.
Sounds like burnout/depression/ADHD over addiction.
Honestly, I would love for them to turn it into just a bastion of info. Just detail the goings-on of the current government.
I know that’s what they try to teach you in math in school, but absolutely nobody does it that way in practice, making it just wrong to teach it.
Either interpretation is valid, though. Either one is an absurd amount of gifts, I would not put it past the gifter to have made an extravagant display of re-giving the stuff from days before each day.
Wasn’t this news weeks ago? Is this something new?
He doesn’t need to name a successor. His followers just need to be convinced that he named one.
This is gonna be like the metaverse. It’s gonna get hyped up by all news sources like it’s the next big thing, but nobody will actually care or use it.
Only if we’re doing a new country too
What version of Linux did you go with?
It’s been a while since I’ve used Winamp, so I might just not remember, but what makes the library management so special?
While that’s currently true, I’m extremely curious to see the trends after 10-20 years. Does it stay productive or do problems start cropping up. My current job is strongly requested to be in-person once per week, but otherwise WFH. The occasional in-office definitely helps new hires and such, and I would not be surprised if jobs start moving towards a “wfh except once per week (or two weeks)” ordeal.
While probably true, this still probably gets him all wound up.
And if he wins the presidency, he’s going to try to use his power to make those fits matter. I seriously don’t see how people look at this man and think he’s a good option.
I usually invent answers to those and store those answers in a password manager. Essentially turns them into backup passwords that can be spoken over the phone if necessary.
Where was I born? “Stallheim, EUSA, Mars”
Name of first pet? “Groovy Tuesday”
It’s fun, usually.
Not the same guy, but I have some LED bulbs I’ve never replaced. I have some where I need to replace them every couple years or so. It’s… weird. I think it’s gotta be certain types of bulbs and/or the wiring in those parts of my house that just die faster.
