That’s what hobbies are, my man. It’s cool to be into something and you’re out sharing what you’re learning with others, letting them benefit from your experience so they can focus on the aspects of 3D printing they’re interested in.
Keep enjoying yourself; that’s all that matters!
Also the Twystlock is crazy cool and it’s really awesome you shared it with the community!
You can also use something like MagicaVoxel to make blocky 3D models which people can learn to use a heck of a lot faster than Blender etc, especially if they have played Minecraft before.
Ah fuck, our server is getting Gerbilled by Lemmywinks.
Counter: you’re killing the ones that like the taste of a human and thus they’ll evolve to avoid humans.
I’ve literally tied myself over with several series of Sanderson’s while waiting for the final book in the Kingkiller Chronicle series.
I guess there’s always the reassurance that Sanderson will probably pick up any major series that needs finishing haha.
The stress of success, many eyes watching, and not publishing is less crushing than publishing a shit ending that ruins the trilogy and wipes out all interest in the first two books.
They might be wanting to build a proper desktop with RGB and all the jazz. While the Steam Deck does kick ass when plugged into a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, it’s not quite as impactful as a tower in terms of presence.
I use my Deck with the official dock all the time so I don’t disagree with Dindonmasker’s point that the value of a Deck is tremendous and a great alternative to building a tower.
Hah, that music video is genuinely a pretty accurate depiction of your average England village’s May Day celebrations. I went to one this year, got drunk watching old men skipping about while wearing bells, kids tying up a pole with ribbon, folk band (minus the fabulous Mike Edmonds as seen is this video) playing fiddle and more, sitting around on a bunch of straw bales, and cuddled a goat kid while my dog obsessed over a Shetland pony until my partner told us to go home.
Call your mobile provider (and be prepared to jump ship to a different provider) and ask to speak to their “Retentions” department or team. Every big provider has a team whose job it is to keep customers by basically throwing sweeteners at them.
It’s crazy how many services do this if you just call up, asking to cancel. Sky or Virgin (can’t remember which as I’ve not watched broadcast TV in a few years) gave me 3 months free every time I called to cancel.
It’s written by a Bitwarden dev too.
Aaah, thanks for the insight.
Unlimited texts, unlimited calls, 50GB data (music streaming is ignored), EU roaming, 5G for £10/month.
Also it’s crazy how much US and AU people are paying!
Honestly, it’s very likely just Salesforce since that cantankerous, janky beast is so easy to use poorly.
I don’t have good advice here as I’m blessed with parents that ask their kids’ input before voting.
There’s a lot of people suggesting cutting off your family and highlighting scenarios they did the same with their family over the recent election.
Just remember that if they’re stuck in an echo chamber, while to you this was about survival, they experienced very very different messaging through the past few years. They very well could have no idea the true ramifications of their vote.
These echo chambers of misinformation and disinformation are dangerous and, in my opinion, we need to help people out of them and not cut them off to leave them to fall deeper and deeper into them.
That said, you still must prioritise your health and wellbeing. If your relatives are deeply impacting you, you don’t deserve that and must look after yourself as a priority.
CRM is “customer relationship management” i.e. a system to manage interactions with customers such as tracking calls, marketing emails and collateral, meetings, quoting, support tickets, and more. It tracks the lifecycle/pipeline of a sale from prospecting, lead qualification and solution mapping, demos and meetings, proposals, negotiations and commitment, opportunity win/loss, license generation, onboarding, renewals, and a ridiculously huge number of other things.
It’s not just tracking the numbers but giving you a centralised system that all other business operations can hook into so you’ve a single source of truth about customer state so that various other operations can be triggered.
When you’ve hundreds of sales people, numerous systems, marketing people, support teams, and more all reading and writing to the same CRM system, if that “system” was a spreadsheet, you’d be constantly deadlocking and race conditioning the hell out of it, not to mention how absurdly huge that file would become with all that historical data (since a big part of CRM is also projections and other analyses across all the data you have).
Sixth and Seventh Generation video game consoles were still using scart/composite/component outputs for CRT up until their discontinuation in 2017 so I’m pretty sure a lot of kids would have had a CRT to game on as well was watch TV in their rooms.
Remember, kids typically get the hand me downs when the adults get new shiny.
In the United Kingdom, people just add a contact to their phone book called “ICE”. You can learn more here.

Patents published in 2022 showed Valve are definitely working on an untethered VR headset, new VR controllers, and a Steam Controller 2. Rumours are they went into mass production in Nov 2024 so we could be near an announcement in the next few months. Typical Valve style, however, is to announce it out of the blue.
But given the success of the Steam Deck, and the money they’ve funnelled into Arch Linux support for ARM processors, I’m pretty confident these aren’t just rumours.
