Glad to see it, thank you.
Glad to see it, thank you.
The provider of the SIM on the old phone who provides the phone number, and data brokers associated with them, will never be able to associate that number with my actual location, because the old phone will be in a static location.
The provider of the SIM in my main phone will have a number that is never used, and it’s location can never be tied to the number that is actually used because the old phone relays VI’s matrix.
Is it better than avoiding SMS altogether? No. Does it obfuscate? Yes.
I also plan on having VNC on the old phone for running banking apps that GrapheneOS may not support in the future.
How is a piece of software like this so bad at mobile? I’ve been debating on using an archiver instead of bookmarks, but will probably try something else.
Do you ever use this with mobile?
Wondered if there was a good FOSS Loom out there. Will give this a shot.
Edit: Chrome only. Will give this a shot when that changes.
My mispeak there was voltage.
I could, but honestly the guides for Matrix and then for the mautrix (not a typo) bridges are pretty good if you click through to them: https://matrix.org/ecosystem/bridges/sms/
Wait… Sounds like you are still pro-defendant?
Mine too, but backwards. I can go backpacking for a week and smell nearly the same, while she smells like… well… unsavory.
These changes are not linear with extension cords, as the gauge variance is less than changes in length. 100% longer doesn’t mean 100% thicker, and there are material differences in the different lengths, too. Also the heat does not just occur in the wire. Whatever is at the end of that cord has to work harder due to the voltage drop, and harder means hotter.
Apps for things where I want local data (say, pictures), notifications (say, messaging), or tie into the hardware (say, navigation/compass). Mobile web for everything else.
Hah, yup, that is a nice one.
Detergent and washing are not the only ways to remove smells. Airing out cotton works quite well, and if it’s merino wool, even better.
Also, genetics play a role as some people just dont sweat much or have BO.
There is no one size fits all here, and reducing wash cycles makes cloths last longer, especially cheap ones. That being said, smell your cloths. If they smell, at all, wash them.
How is the top comment not a video of all the Waymo’s in a traffic jam they created, and stuck?
I think this is a product of post/comment history. Seen it a few times today, where the same individuals are doing the same things over, and over, and over again, and certain active members are noticing it and no longer being accepting of it and going off. (I mean the tone and content, not the capitalization)
Heh heh heh. Wait till you dive into the world of “That $15 cable costs 12c to make.”
How many benches have you sat on? How many resturant chairs have you been in? How many hotels have you slept in? How many used cars have you been in? How many rentals? Oh man, the school bus?
My point is, whoever did it is just a human. Desperate perhaps, but not “unclean” or some monster that taints something. If they didn’t do damage you even have the best kind of thief on your hands.
Current and Voltage don’t change, but resistance does (between cable types)?
A bit out there, but I plan on doing this soon:
I already use Matrix bridges for Signal, Discord, IRC, etc, so this means the number is never tied to my location, but I can use it for things like banking 2FA.
GV doesn’t work anymore for many services, such as banks.
Your cell phone company associates SMS with your location all the time, and sells that data to brokers who overlay it with app data associated with a phone number.
I’m not sure what you’re not following. Just because another provider has my location, doesn’t mean a broker can associate that location to a phone number on another provider (and thus connected apps).
