I’m not sure I would consider fundamentalists to be representative of your average Christian - their whole thing is Biblical literalism, after all… I was raised Catholic, in an era where we still had religious courses in school, and I can pretty safely say that pretty much nobody read it outside the bare minimum they had to for First Communion/Confirmation/wedding prep.
It desperately needs interface types if we ever hope to make it a serious contender for general purpose web development. The IO overhead of having to interface with JS to use any web API is itself pretty slow, and is limiting a lot of usecases.

The stuff like Flash, Java applets and Silverlight it eventually replaced were arguably even worse. There’s a legitimate need to run client-side code at times, IMHO the mistake was making it so permissive by default. Blaming the language for the bad browser security model is kind of throwing away the baby with the bathwater.

Do you legitimately think that the same people who get into organized religion, that buy into thought systems that tell them how things are supposed to be and how they should feel about stuff, as a general rule have read their own source material that meticulously?
I had excellent grades in elementary school, then in high school it became excellent grades in subjects that interested me. It’s when I got to college and university that it became more like “struggling to get anything done at all cause I forgot about or pushed back every assignment”. A lifetime of winging it didn’t prepare me at all for courses where I couldn’t review the material 15 minutes before the exam and hope for decent grades lol

I mean, by 1400 the world population was comparable to the modern US. It merely broke the billion people mark by the early 1800s, it took merely another century to double that, and it since did more than 4x straight to 8.2 billion people, so even if the proportion of whiners stayed the same, there’d be so many more of them. The brackets are pretty simple. It’s percentages and subtractions. Think “buckets” that spill over in the next when they’re full, and each “bucket” has a larger percentage that’s taken as taxes. Keep the numbers small so its easier. Imagine that there are three brackets. 0-100$ pays 10% tax. 101-200$ pays 20%. 200$ and more pays 30%.
Someone who wins 150$ pays 10% on the money they made from 0 to 100$, and 20% on the 101st dollar until their last, so they’ll win 150-10-10=130$ after tax. They didn’t win more than 200$, so no money gets taxed at the third bracket’s rate.
Say that person wins 250$ next year. Their first 100$ will result in the exact same 10$ in taxes. Their 100th to 199th dollars will be in the second 20% bracket. Their remaining 50$ falls in the last bracket, so gets taxed 30%. They will therefore this year make 250-10-20-15=205$ after tax.
Said person gets a big promotion and is now making 1000$ the third year. Their first 100$ gets the same 10$ tax, same for their second 200$ with the same 20$ tax. They have 800$ left in the last bracket, which at 30% means 240$. So they’d be winning 1000-10-20-240=730$ that year.
Reality never decouples, it’s just always relative but our usual point of views are similar enoug that we typically ignore the difference. Time will fly slightly faster for an astronaut on the ISS, but we’re talking nanosecond differences over long periods.
From your POV, you fall into the black hole and that’s it. From an external observer’s POV, they see you falling slower and slower until you appear to stop at the event horizon then redshift to disappearance. Oh, that’s for sure. The thing is, you need to be open to the idea that there could be contradictions to realize they are there. If you approach your readings already believing that you are a mere sinner who, in the end, can’t really understand God’s Plan™, it gets easier to brush off the inconsistencies.
