My high school had a lot of vocational courses. I took auto shop, construction, welding, and small engine mechanics. Several of those covered electricity.

Adding length creates more resistance which creates more heat. Thinner conductors can’t handle it as well.
Work a help desk shift supporting windows users and see if you still say that.
Wouldn’t your skills be kept sharp by using it at work?
I bought a 3d printer in 2015 and it took me probably a month of screwing with it after work and on weekends to get to the point that I could make decent things with it. My brother bought one of these last year and was sending me pictures of shit he made the same day he started. I was was a bit jealous.
That’s where the part about understanding how your body works comes into it. It’s certainly harder for some people than others but your body cannot maintain fat without the building blocks to do so and you can restrict these between diet and exercise.
From my own experience I’m approaching 40 and I can estimate my weight based off the calories I’ve consumed and how much I’ve worked out since the last time I weighed myself within a couple pounds. It’s not exactly in line with any of those estimator apps but it is fairly consistent I assume this is because I have a slower metabolism. Pretty much everyone I know who struggles to lose weight makes terrible choices even when they’re trying. You can account that to cravings or impulse control or whatever but everyone that stuck to an appropriate plan has succeeded. It’s a matter of figuring out how your body works and sticking to a plan but it is not easy.
We have 2 drawers like that. What’s the problem with it if you don’t have a better place to put that shit?
No. I’m confident they aren’t capable of getting past the login on my devices and my file cabinet is locked.
Talk quietly. Adjust the mic settings as needed. You can check how you sound with the playback.
Just played around with it a little and it is much more tolerable than OP makes it look like. I wasn’t able to get it as compact as the default view but I don’t hate it.
This shit is why I haven’t been to a doctor since high school.
Dad was prescribed a medication that fixed his health issue. Changed jobs and insurance. New insurance says that medication isn’t for that issue and that he needed to take a different medication that his doctor had previously tried and didn’t work very well along with nasty side effects instead. They argued about it. Now he’s stuck with the worse medication.
My other comment was blunt so here’s my attempt to be more constructive, this is all my personal opinion and my reaction was in response to making it the default I don’t think that you should stop working on it or even that I am objectively correct.
There is way too much empty space. I don’t use it but from OPs screenshot it appears this is to allow for larger thumbnails. It would be better to have them smaller and expandable if someone finds one interesting. Moving the thumbnails to the left of the text would eliminate all the blank space your eyes have to travel across to view them as well.
Shitty microsoft paint edits to demonstrate what I’m trying to say:
Freed up space in green:
Compact is certainly better than what OP showed. Frankly I’m fine with driving everyone that thinks the “cozy” view is acceptable away from this platform. I’m not interested in whatever other terrible opinions they’d be sharing here.
Yea, I hate that trend. Especially when it’s used for information pages about products and you have to constantly scroll around and deal with weird slideshow things to find what you’re looking for (if useful information is even present at all).
That UI is dogshit. Lemmy is a link aggregator and you’re saying it should show 2 links on the screen at a time? New Reddit is shit for the same reason.
So let the people who have extra to spare pay for the shit they’re not using.
I think it’s pretty reasonable to be pissed about paying for something you can’t use. Especially if they’re in the same boat I am where their taxes are literally the difference between owning a home or not.
TIL. Maybe I was conflating daisy-chaining power strips with extension cords and came up with that as a reason it was bad with the cords.
