Just Chatting has been the dominant category for a very long time. Justin.tv was used for the creator to stream his daily life. This isn’t anything new.

Meta does not give a shit to absorb the fedi. We are like a thousandth of their size, just a blip on their radar. I have no idea where people get this idea of self importance that Meta cares about their 10 user server.

I used to, but now don’t really care. Earbuds are really nice, except Bluetooth pairing is complete ass and you need to worry about it being charged.

I see it as just virtue signaling. At the end, we can choose to not join those servers who defederate with them, but I can also think it’s a stupid decision at the same time lol.

Finally a big W. Google backdoored Android with Google Play Services and gives itself special permissions that no other app can do. They should be under the same limitations that other apps are reserved to. That’s why projects like Sandboxed Google play is really awesome.
