The “äss” phonetic spelling will really help the english speakers reading it not pronounce it as “ass”. Love it.

Not sure what Disk Manager is, but if it says
USB Mass Storage device detected
It appears to be something. If you do a sudo journalctl -f
before you plug it in, does it tell you what device name it is given? If it is sata-to-usb you are using it is probably /dev/sd[a-z] or so, does anyone show up when you plug it in?
I was talking to someone who were cleaning student nightclub bathrooms, and he was like “What are they doing? Why is there used tampons stuck to the celing above the toilets? Do they just fling them up there when they take it out?”
If you do, their e-mails asking you to donate again are a bit weird and manipulative. Their subject lines are like “FIRSTNAME - I’ve had enough”, “Our final email” (got several of those), “It’s non-negotiable”.
EU seems to be like “you ASKED edge to be the default browser? This is unimaginable anti-competative behaviour!” towards windows, and then all like “you do you, apple, we good”.
Scrolling through I don’t see this tip I was made aware of when going up north: shower in the evening. I’m not sure it makes any significant difference, but the logic seems sound; while sleeing you build up a protective layer of fat on the surface of your skin, face especially. It helps against the cold, so don’t rinse it off in the morning.
I recently got some Toshibas and they were loud. They also presented with a seek error pre-fail after a few days (all three of them). That propably adds to the volume, but the seagate and wds I switched to just have some clicking noises. Not too bad.
Oh, it is part of the Tor project even. Cool. Thanks. I will read the links.
How does this work? I thought WebRTC is UDP and Tor is over TCP. I don’t really know what I’m talking about here, but I’d like to know some details.
It was the Swedish social insurance agency with these parts of the recruitment process probably outsourced to the lowest bidder.
Not the interview itself, but… I had a personality test before the interview and it felt so fucked up. There were always two completely different statements of, at least to me, questionable morals. Like “I enjoy people’s envy of me having better things” and “In social situations, the conversation should only be about me”. Stuff like that, but not only egoistic statements. Then you had a single scale under the two statements which went from “describes me” to “describes me very well”, for both statements, no neutral option. Stated time was like 10 minutes, I took it like in an hour. An hour of having to think through if I should say that “not having sympathy for an abandoned dog describes me” because the other option was more horrible. Felt fucking traumatized after that.
It got me the interview, but not the job.
Isn’t there hormonal treatments that puts you in menopause, and then there is a menoresume if you end the treatment?
Wait, this is just a post here on lemmy, not a reply in the issue thread? Or am I just not finding it? You should probably have this discussion in the github issue too.
At least for sweden they appear to have shipping options with taxes/duty included. I don’t have in front of me right now, but it was something like 200€ all inclusive shipping on a 500€ order. Something like that.
Only if you also call length “1-dimensional volume”.
You’d just continue saying ‘volume’, alternatively ‘k-dimensional volume’ or ‘volume of the n-dimensional object’. Like for spheres: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volume_of_an_n-ball
The n-dimensional volume of a Euclidean ball of radius R in n-dimensional Euclidean space is:[1]

Definition of concepts from abstract:
Political views, opinions, and worldviews become increasingly irreconcilable (idea-based polarization), while at the same time society appears to be getting fractured in antagonistic, opposing camps (identity-based polarization).
I’m not sure how it is actually measured. It is from the v-dem dataset. Is that questionaire data?
Stationary for usual operations, at least. There is usually a mechanism to open it up so you can mend them if necessary.
Wait, I meant like in between the glass of the windows. If you have to pull and push the blinds themselves that would not work… right?
These fines are not zero at zero income.
