Damn, number two in the world?? Best I’ve played is nineteenth!

I’m not trying to be argumentative, but that’s not really how proper piercing works. I think what you’re explaining is what a place like Claire’s would do, use a thicker earring in a piercing gun to push the surrounding flesh out of the way in order to make a hole.
A piercing studio uses a hollow needle inserted by hand, so it goes in gently and easily and the flesh in the hole is actually removed since it’s inside the needle now. Then the earring is inserted afterwards. It’s far less traumatizing to the body this way.
As someone who has a lot of piercings, I suggest sticking with 1.2mm and up, for stability. Cheese cutter effect is a real concern, and may or may not be able to be fixed by repiercing.
I’m actually looking for cute jewelry for my mom because she was complaining about how the posts on “regular” earrings were so thin, but she doesn’t know how to shop for legit piercing jewelry.
I would say it’s riskier to stay at less than 1mm as it’s so thin that it’s more likely to just rip out your ear if it gets caught on hair or clothing. There isn’t really a risk in switching between different thicknesses, just be careful when stretching to a bigger size so you don’t harm your piercing.
Can confirm. I generally prefer the comfort of holding a real book but e-readers are a godsend for blackouts and vacations.
Absolutely. There’s no better feeling than knowing someone will always be there for you and have your best interests in mind. Cuddles and stupid jokes aren’t bad either, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Even in past relationships that didn’t work out, I wouldn’t say the time/money/energy was wasted either. I don’t regret any of it, even if it was only to find out what didn’t work for me and what I didn’t want in the future.
I know you’re trying to come to terms with being alone, but I truly believe love is worth fighting for, if you decide you want that. I hope you find the peace you’re looking for.
I used to work at an engineering firm and one day I saw one of the engineers leave at like 2pm on a Wednesday and he was like, “Bye, see you next week!” He had been busting his ass to finish a project and already hit his 40hrs for the week.
I was a temp at the time but needless to say, I jumped at the chance when they offered me a real job.
It’s not immediately obvious in the store, though I can’t say I’ve been looking in the past decade or so. I’m from BC and my parents used to buy it while I was growing up.
This is me and my husband. I find the part about going through the pandemic together especially true. “After” the pandemic I never went back to the office and the number of coworkers I had who seemed to be flabbergasted that I wanted to stay at home was through the roof. They seemed genuinely confused that husband and I weren’t dying to get away from each other.
I have to admit though, it may have become somewhat of a hostile work environment as my husband has been threatening to tell my boss about all the times I make fish for lunch.
Even if I somehow managed to outrun the stampede and climb the waterfall, I could never ever manage to beat Scar. Thank goodness for older siblings.
I’m Canadian and I used to have a pass like that. It was $50 at the time and valid for 5 years.
Wtf? That is super gross. I’m Canadian and I don’t know anyone who would do it at the dinner table. I’ve seen my boss do it at his desk but he turns to face the corner next to his desk first.
Ime most people go to the washroom to do it, or at least make sure they’re not near anyone else.
It seems much more popular in the states but seems to be getting some good traction in Canada now. I went on a little disc golf road trip in BC and there are actually some pretty good guerilla courses out there that people have clearly put a lot of work into.
