  • I mean there were actually two “intelligence” explosions for humans, once as Homo Erectus like 2 million years ago. Then again as Homo Heidelbergensis ~ 700,000 years ago. So way before dogs.

As in we have evidence of H. Erectus with brains as big or even bigger than ours. And by the time of H. Heidelbergensis our brains stabilised around the size they are today.

  • Dogs 100% were selectively bred to be permanently juvenile as well.

Dogs have extreme neonatal characteristics. They are basically forever-wolf-puppies.

Their heads are rounder, eyes bigger, proportions more exaggerated, more playful etc. etc.

And we actually know the main brain difference between wolves and dogs is that dogs don’t mature basically ever neurologically.

Wolves are in basically every way smarter than dogs.

We dumbed down wolves and made them babies forever.

    Our biggest rivals for millennia.

    We are… fucked up.

    Anyways love puppies ❤️

  • My dad has the same issue and my girlfriend also had. I was able to help her, he is a lost cause.

But honestly it’s really basic. Just don’t yell while sneezing. Sneeze without vocalising at all. Even if it’s “strong”, it won’t be nearly as loud.

This is just like “muscle memory”. You one day started yelling while sneezing, and it became subconscious.

If you consciously try to not do it every time you sneeze, that too will become subconscious and “muscle memory”.

  • It’s a much older story than the Catholic Church tho. Obviously older than Christianity as a whole right? It’s one of the oldest parts of the Torah/Old Testament. It did change over time, but I believe it has much more religious implications than political.

In any case, I believe it’s a story to explain our difference from animals, our apparent separation from creation while also being a part of it. An attempt, within the metaphysics of early Semitic religions, to answer one of the most fundamental questions humans always had: what are we and what are we doing here?

I also like some of the more esoteric interpretations, so idk

  • People starved many many times in those places before the communist revolutions. People starved all over the world under many economic systems. Most of the time due to climate events.

That is basically what happened in the two famines you are thinking of. There was extreme drought in Europe and Central Asia for decades, which did kill a lot of people. In Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and yes Ukraine. They also died in Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, parts of the Middle East. Just like many died in the US from massive droughts in the decade before.

What you probably purposefully leave out is how there was never famine again in the USSR. People experienced better caloric intake than the US up until the collapse of the union and neoliberal shock-therapy brought hunger back.

In any case, was there mismanagement during the famine of the 30s? Yea, of course.

Was there sabotage by counterrevolutionaries? Yes, of course.

Who is to blame? Not a single person, and likely not even people in general tbh.

Almost all of this also applies to the famine in China.

So idk, I know the OP doesn’t care and isn’t trying to look for an alternative to his narrative. But others who come in here might take something positive from the comments we leave.

  • When capitalism. That’s when.

Edit: to clarify, it wasn’t much better before capitalism. But it was less all-encompassing. Feudalism was a shitty structure, worse even than capitalism tbh. But it was much easier to escape it. Not just in the “survivalist hippie camp” that still exists now. But even in everyday life. The system wasn’t shaping every facet of human existence. Only production relations (which is the big one yes). But capitalism has shaped everything around us. Our places of work, sure, but our personal lives. Our inner lives. Everything has been commodified. Mental health, religion, wellness, friendships, love and relationships, families, sickness, children etc. etc. etc… That is the main reason capitalism is worse than anything before it. No other system had the capacity to destroy the planet. None. To destroy all life in it. All in the name of profit. An immaterial, formless concept. Not even a real thing. And there’s not much we can do it seems. I mean there is, and I think it’s pretty clear. But I bet even that gets commodified soon. Bring on the politicians/capitalists death match reality game shows I guess…

  • Holy shit… bro please don’t be racist like this in public. You should keep this shit to your brain and feel deep shame for it. No one ever taught you that?

The Chinese didn’t break any laws or “steal” anything. China had different copyright laws, and western companies agreed to share technology as part of their agreements with the CPC to operate in the SEZs. If they didn’t want China to have the tech, they could’ve just not taken the deals and go build their factories in India, or Bangladesh, or Malaysia etc.

And what you describe as the “Chinese mentality” is just literally capitalist logic, aka, psychopathy. It’s projection. The Chinese are winning, so you assume they are the apex capitalists, the Patrick Batemans. But you couldn’t be more wrong. They are winning by finding a different game, and playing it better. The rest of the world is following their lead, and your place on the board is soon to be extinct. So you panic and turn to dumbass things like racism.
