Mine was blue until mid-2010’s.
Not completely sure why, but it’s now purple as well. It’s such a pleasing colour.
Prior to that, I have fond memories of painting all my cars in Saints Row 2 purple and white.
Just your age ol’ ex-Reddit lurker… who also likes nuggets :)

Which podcast is that? You piqued my interest, but there seem to be a lot of podcasts about the history of Rome.
Norway and Japan for me :)
Thanks for reminding me about this!
We used to use that method for the company I was working for. We would setup laptops in advance and they were in the early process of setting up intune. Since we didn’t have a user account, we’d use your method to continue setup to get to the desktop.
I think we’d then run commands in pwershell to have the machine appear on intune.
It was a good few years ago and it was a very annoying, arduous time. They worked out the kinks eventually and that was no longer required.
This was my thought process as well.
I did consider whether making good art could help fund other global issues, but I think there’s too many variables. Whereas being able to make it rain would have an arguably more immediate impact.
Can we also control when to turn it off? xD
Yeah, it’s definitely shifted that way. I just use them both interchangeably.
A little before I started using Reddit, my mate who told me about it said upvoting was used as a means of promoting posts or replies that people may be interested in, not because you like or dislike a post or reply.
I think Facebook has changed that and I will admit I will thumbs up a post/reply because I like it, but I will also upvote posts I think other users may be interested in.
I’m thankful our HR gave us notice when I was in Desktop Support.
The rare occasion we received short notice from HR or the general exec of our tech division was due to an immediate termination, and that was usually due to people not passing probation, or for egregious behaviour like sending 100s of GB to their personal email after they resigned and we’re in their notice period.
Or we once had a guy who was completely off the rails… we don’t know what happened exactly, but a user called up and he was having a manic episode and was convinced someone hacked his account/phone and was listening to him.
We raised it as a concern and a few weeks (maybe a month or so later) we were asked to terminate his account.
I heard he had stopped taking his meds. Hope he’s alright now… he was a nice fellow usually.
Thank you for your service
I think it was our lack of coordination…
I have this same issue as well.
I just don’t feel like I have anything insightful or meaningful to say.
But, I feel like I should in the community I mainly frequent since it’s really quiet a lot and the main mod feels like the only person keeping things ticking along.
I know that was probably meant positively. But that’s not how I read it initially, lol
I had to read it a few times first…
My great grandfather’s name was Hilary. My nan wasn’t entirely impressed when I mention it was a girls name as a kid xD
