Never saw the need to separate work and personal devices. I have a work and a personal profile on my phone. That’s enough.
I won’t switch bank over this.
But I agree, banks often have terrible websites.
LineageOS… the restrictions don’t sound great. I will need the Google Apps, esp. for banking and other work related stuff. No way past it. Some software seems a bit basic, like the camera app. Sony offers a nice one there. Just as an example. There’s other concerns. Small, but hey…
As to your request for contributing to OSM. That’s what we have StreetComplete for.
Sony provides them, by what I gather.
I’ve outgrown the tinkering. Would like to stick with Android. Have too many apps depending on that. Banking, work related stuff.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Awesome! Thank you!
Freedom is always relative. No one has absolute freedom. No matter how much I want to go without sleep, I can’t do that. No matter how much I don’t like gravity, it limits me (or liberates me, depending on my view). I have the freedom to jump off a highrise, but will that freedom actually do me good? Absolute freedom is not necessarily a good thing as it can harm myself and others.
Therefore free speech doesn’t mean I can say whatever I want. It means that I have the right to express my opinions publicly. But there must be restrictions to balance the right to free speech with the need to protect individuals and society from harm (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech).

I completely agree with you, ever since my dentist strongly encouraged me to floss, I feel disgusting when I don’t do it and can only shake my head at my previous ignorance, thinking that mouthwash is good enough (that’s rubbish!).
The only thing I don’t agree with is the use of the plastic helpers. I don’t think I need to contribute to plastic pollution for a tiny bit of comfort. I got used to the regular floss within two or three days.

I hope there’s no implication in there that it is ok to drink before your early twenties. But just in case: it’s a really bad choice in life! https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/alcohol-harms-the-brain-in-teen-years-before-and-after-that-too-2021011521758
Dental floss, man. Dental floss.
Thank you for asking.
In my particular use case we need strict access control.
Really depends on the situation.

They want to be rich beyond EVERYONE’S wildest dreams.
Why else?
I’ve found that some people use Linux just to be apart of the “cool tech kids” on the internet. They don’t understand how to use a CLI…
I hope that’s true. If Linux has come this far to make PC life possible for the cool kids, I say welcome to each and every one of them.
No worries. Took me a moment as well. 🤪
