If you think what you have to throw out as the consumer is wasteful, take a look in the kitchens of these places and tell me that it’s any better. Most foods that have to be prepped in advance must be separated by single-use parchment/wax paper, then wrapped in plastic. When ready to use, use a glove for a few uses to take the prepped food out of the wrap, remove the paper separating it all, and chuck it out. It could have been prepped a week ago, or only two hours ago for fresh use, you still throw out all this paper and plastic wrapping. And then the cleaning, there is an inexcusable amount of paper towel used for various purposes, from drying your hands to wiping a counter/table, etc. And it’s all thrown out. Some restaurants will use towels and kitchen rags, but then you have so many to wash and clean, it’s usually done by a third-party service that has to drive to pick it all up, drive to a central laundry stop, do the laundry, and then drive it all back to get done again. And if you are in a place that has a washing machine in-house, it’s a drop in the bucket in solving real waste issues.
Isn’t that what SheRa used? Magic was an energy to be harnessed by the technology.
I want disclosure. I want a tag or watermark to let people know that AI was used. I want to see these companies pay dues for the content used in the similar vein that we have to pay for higher learning. And we need to stop calling it AI as well.
It matters to sponsors. Big companies pay money to have their name slapped on everything, and then huge amount of marketing to ensure the max audience size means many more eyes in the sponsors crap. The NFL makes a killing on these sponsored events, so they will drive up the engagement wherever they are. And since sports matter to many Americans, this needs to REALLY SUPER matter.
I agree, who cares about teams picking players except for the players?
I didn’t even think they got the humor right. Watching episodes without the laugh track shoes the jokes are just a group of bullies being bullies to each other.
When asked, I usually tell people that I vote Dem because it’s as close to my anarchist ideals as I can get. I would consider myself a social-anarchist, in that I feel laws shouldn’t be written around societal structures and ideals. Society and culture changes, and I shouldn’t be punished because some dude generations ago decided that something was inappropriate back then. It isn’t now, and shouldn’t be codified that way,
Dude, Cheetara from ThunderCats had it going on!
And how’s that been going for you? When people shout enough, the ones that need to listen start to tune it out. But start hitting wallets? Can’t tune that out.
Which fees will get lowered? Prime? The sellers still have to pay fees to cover it. Amazon won’t care unless the people who are actually paying for everything leave. Be an example and start competing. Doesn’t even need to be a business that sells stuff to compete. Start a blog with talking about sites to buy everything outside of Amazon and Walmart.
Have you tried? I’m trying.
OH NO! It’s someone slapping a label on an idea to make it sound bad. Yeah, maybe we should reinvent the wheel. What good does this do to fix the problem? Call it what you want, but give me an alternate solution at the same time. Something that anybody can do.
So what you are telling me is that the options are so limited that we shouldn’t even try? That the only way to fight is to give up and buy crappy clothes from Walmart and be glad for it? Chain restaurants are the only option for dining options? Eat your Big Mac and remember your fries.
And those resources available to large corporations, there are resources available to small businesses too. Tax breaks are out there for different reasons. Negotiate for cheaper resources. Don’t give up.
Did you know that Amazon charges fees to sell on their site? When people buy products on Amazon, the company makes nothing. The third-party seller has paid a fee to sell on Amazon, a fee for Amazon to store the product each month, and then a fee once it sells to cover the Prime shipping costs the buyer thinks is free. There is no loss. If the third-party sellers, who usually are small businesses duped into thinking this is the best way, would pull out, that is the real money loss for Amazon.
As a guy, best I can say is educate him on what women go through. Make sure he knew what is going on, so he doesn’t look like an idiot with a woman. And so he isn’t like me and learn about how periods actually work when he’s almost thirty because he doesn’t get a joke in a movie.
What he needs to learn at this age isn’t what he will do through, school will do that for him. He needs to know what others will go through. Religious thinking kept most of female anatomy out of the public schools I went to.
I used Plex a while ago and didn’t like how I had to look for my folders against the stuff they offered. And the upside of being able to get my stuff from a server install on another network had me wondering if they were looking at the movies I had to pirate. Once I installed jellyfin, I didn’t have to worry. My only issue is if I want to use it on vacation, I have to do some vps hack-jiggery.
People were once told that if you wore the clothes of the opposite sex, you were a pervert. If you wanted to be the other sex, you were a sexual deviant. And people who have no experience outside of these views TOLD to them find out there are people out there like that, they are perverted deviants who must be doing other deviant things to. That’s how people connect the two. False logic and correlation based on ignorance.
It would need to be us that needs to evolve away from being sensitive to mosquito saliva. But our immune system went the other way to be allergic to it so we could defend against any infection or disease the bug might carry. Further proof of human stupidity in our evolution, that we trigger the defense mechanism after the the attack instead of preventing it.
Well, shit. Time for me to book a trip to Vegas.
