I’m not generally into movies, but I like them every once in a blue moon. I usually enjoy action, thrillers, comedies and specifically romcoms I think. Books I usually read urban fantasy, things like the Mercy Thompson series, or light sci fi (not usually space operas). I have pretty trash taste I think overall.
There was a terrible fucking movie called Warriors of Virtue with people in horrifying kangaroo suits, some Russian Christianity propaganda film (same friend was responsible for both), and I had fun watching Death Becomes Her.
Hostage, it was a mediocre to decent Bruce Willis action flick about teenagers holding a family for ransom. It’s been a long time since I saw it, but I remember one of the villains being incredibly unsettling and disturbing throughout.
My husband usually falls asleep to tv, so I usually put on instrumental music on earbuds to drown it out. I’ll stay up way too late listening to tv otherwise.
It’s not just you. In my area people are driving worse, people are being less patient, and folks seem to be getting weirder. Hell, I just had to delete an article about skinning a cat from a vegan discord group. I have no idea what’s going on, but I’d guess it’s stress, weather, and endless conflict weighing on people.
I love that I get to help people as best I can, but I hate the work itself unfortunately. It’s very mentally taxing and sometimes really depressing.

I’ve been looking for more 5 player board games for my weekly board game club, and I was looking at Wingspan! How is it, is it worth picking up?
I’ve been working on getting albums I like, I’ve found playing from vinyl is just kinda fun. I have my favorites set up in the hallway, and I rotate what’s in front whenever I play one so it’s constantly changing artwork. The rest are in the box

I’m no hypocrite, I’ll chime in. I woke up at 1 am this morning and couldn’t get back to sleep because my body hates me apparently. The day was pretty good other than that though, I made a run to the dump that I’d been meaning to do for months, got my hair dyed, and had lunch at a local cafe (sandwich with a yuba patty, sesame slaw, and peanut sauce. It was so good). Now I’m just chilling, I got cider and I’m listening to records (Yesterwynde by Nightwish right now). I’m gonna sleep well tonight I think!
Be very careful with those yak milk cheese sticks. My old lady (who recently passed, poor sweetie) swallowed a massive chunk once as a pup when I didn’t think it was quite time to take it away yet. She wound up with intestinal blockage and needed surgery to get it out.
Kind of amusingly though, they gave us back the cheese remnant for some reason in a bag and the little monster lunged for it to try to eat it again.
