It’s called observing reality. For example, gay marriage is illegal in several states, slavery only got legalized to ~40 hrs a week, incarcerated men and women are deprived the right to vote, etc.
Come on it’s not that hard.

Are you sure? Legal means it has to be legal everywhere, otherwise you can just get the same treatment eg.: doctors get for providing abortion. Nowadays, that means you can get ICEd by an out-of-state order.

Maybe COVID will be so bad that it will facilitate me go get into exercise
Health, being about people or countries, does not work that way.
I mean, “compares as bad” is comparable, right? :p
Isn’t it dangerous now that PDFs can run javascript? (Who had that idiotic idea, anyway?)
Yet the mob not only punishes for the former, but does it so instance-wide, needlessly tarnishing the reputation of normal users of the instance while the admins moderated that problem on their own.
Punishing people by transitivity only gets communities so far.
So, the usual “on the Fediverse you shalln’t be anything less than immaculately perfect” crap?

Despite the failures (or needs-of-improvement) of the current federation model, it is absolutely safe against that. Federation is copies, not links.
Well, that’s just about as good news as can be in the current tech climate, in particular considering programs like VLC and KeePass are getting this visibility.
They claim to respect privacy and - to date - have done nothing to suggest that they don’t.
Didn’t they deliver environmental activists to Spain’s authorities?
Is it, really? Did they ever really stopped being like in the 1940s?
There is a non-zero chance that if you press it, you become smarter enough to realize you shouldn’t have pressed it…
So piracy is legal now.
For corporations.
Rank-and-file citizens have no new (or restored) rights.
Corporations don’t tell governments they like (eg.: nazis) to fuck off. Au contrainre.
An important lesson to learn. People in position to do something these days in the face of Nazism are weenies. All the time I’m hearing “this or that judge or officer resigns to give way to Nazis / Doges, instead of planting their feet”. Heck while not meaning to offend, it’s got to be said, if Eastern Europeans can do civility better than you, my boy, that does say something big.
I have some people at a client’s still happily using 8.1 (but hey, at least they’re not using 7!).
And, to be frank, if they had to stay on Windows I’d prefer they stay on 8.1 anyway. What with 10 requiring the online accounts or adding start menu adds or removing the interfaces of the Control Panel and everything else.
Why would you do that to yourself???
