haha, retire. as long as we’re dreaming, i guess i’ll spend my time riding unicorns on the moon.
but seriously, if this is somehow really an option for you… i’d teach community education classes. art, programming, basic cooking, whatever. i’ve met a lot of great friends in community ed. i think it’d be rad to contribute back.
i’ve done this several times, starting from scratch each time. it works for me
Poorer? No. Richer? Also no. Cheaper? Some things, like housing and wine. Other things, same or more expensive (such as electronics) Healthcare was at least as good but easier to get into.
I was constantly surprised just how normal/at home I felt. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

that realtor did you dirty. “I looked around and it was fine”?? please don’t use them ever again. that’s sketchy and dishonest. no reputable realtor without something to hide would say that. I would report them to the state realtor board.
get the inspection. and when it’s time to sell, get another one.
privacy, maybe? I know I don’t want certain people notified that I have received their text
i totally agree with the sentiment. my last job was a “tech bro firm”. that entire attitude and working environment is stacked in favor of extroverts. as an introvert, that shit is extremely difficult and frustrating.
I’ve had good luck with https://www.onesimcard.com/
The only catch is it is a VOIP number. Receiving verification texts is spotty. I have two banks, one can send the number automated texts but the other cannot.
you’re demonstrating at least one logical fallacy - the false dichotomy that our only choices are “vote for genocide” or “vote against genocide”. this grossly misrepresents the situation. and I’m pretty sure you know what you’re doing.
if you want to change things, do it from the ground up not the top down. vote for the “little” positions, the local elections. they’ve put us in this position with these small roles and gerrymandering. fix the illness, not the symptoms.
