They wouldn’t be as annoying as they are if the people playing the games in the ads made good decisions. Seeing people fail through obvious bad choices is way more irksome than someone smashing it.

    That’s not an accident. They want you to feel compelled to get the game and play it “the right way”

      Yeah, but I think that’s the wrong way to approach it. I don’t think I’ve ever downloaded a game where the ad had someone playing like a moron. Maybe that’s just me.

        They’re usually targeting “whales”. I can’t say if whales are more inclined to be triggered by poor gameplay than the rest of us but that may be the case.

        They intended to make people think about the gameplay. Which you did. A lot of people will take that as a challenge.

    I’ve noticed that often the recording of the game is sent to multiple narrators who are just pretending to play the exact same run.
