    …and 100 times as many GPUs as gamers!

    Being a PC gamer in 2024 kind of sucks when it takes 24gb of video RAM to run a video game and yet all the cards are being bought by institutional investors for AI.

      For the record, these aren’t consumer GPUs. They’re a completely different beast, designed specifically for running transformer models and costing up to $70,000 each.

        Also, what games are really maxing out the ram? My impression is that most modern GPUs are overkill in this pretty stagnant video game market.
