Less than a few times a year also includes zero… so all of the 50% are part of the 90%
And like 9 out of 10 people who own guns go to the range less than a few times a year.
More than half of gun owners have never gone to a range beyond what might have been part of a state’s pistol permitting process.
2·7 days agoI guess it depends on how heavily it would be weighted in the ticket price. It would suck to get a ticket 3x more expensive, because Geo Metros became retro and your 2,500 shit box is worth 8,000 in your hipster market.
Well they don’t give regional numbers, at least anytime I have used it.
Can’t really use something national when a used Honda Accord is 5k more expensive in MA than Georgia or Florida, for example.
It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than nothing. If you try and go for perfection, nothing will ever happen.
In your scenario you could easily just have a process to appeal the appraisal, showing it only cost that amount. Rich people wouldn’t spend the time to do that, but these hypothetical poor people with fancy cars they repaired themselves would.

In the US it’s https://www.kbb.com/ which I always thought was a household name.
A data analyst could easily compile average prices from the top 10 online car marketplaces, or whatever lawmakers want to set as the baseline. More likely they would just use blue book and maybe weigh it against the market area.

It’s so bad because people will happily cheer it on. But eventually it will just be used to go after political opponents and just classes of people that whoever is in charge doesn’t like. We have so, so many dumb and sometimes even conflicting crimes on the books that the average American unwittingly breaks a few federal laws and usually a myriad of state laws (most being outdated or blue book laws) every week. For some people near state borders it can be everyday.
You don’t know what their time is worth…
I had a family member that was a traveling cow inseminator and he loved cows. I was at a steak house with him and asked why he is eating a giant steak for dinner if he loved cows so much. He kind of just shrugged and said “without the steak, I wouldn’t get to hang around cows all day”
Spending part of my summer with him was illuminating. I bet beef would be way less popular if people got a chance to pet a cow regularly. Very smart animals, at least emotionally smart.
Imagine you find out he is the top 10 rated COD mobile players. Everyone would immediately know he was a complete psycopath.
